Ever since his elder brother completed his marathon challenge on the back of the London Olympics a couple of years ago, son number 2 has been keen to show he can do it as well. He's been pestering me all summer, and with the Coast to Coast taking a lot of family focus, it seemed only right and fair to make sure we had a crack at this before he turns 7 next month.

Friday, October 3, 2014. I got to work pretty quickly on the high-gloss orangy-brown paint that went from the entrance through the living room and down the hallway to the garage:. Three different browns are visible in this picture. I wanted to use Benjamin Moore's Edgecomb Gray, but after several weeks of agonizing, decided that it looked too pink in our light. I went with Benjamin Moore's Clay Beige instead, and it looks great. Not too cool, but definitely peaceful and relaxing. I love it. It came off so.
