New Age Bowls

New Age Bowls can be played indoors or outdoors. The objective of the game is to get more of your bowls closer to the centre of the target than your opponent by delivering in the traditional style or by using specialist equipment to assist with delivery. Blind Life play at Stanley Crook Community Centre on a fortnightly basis from 7.00pm - 9.00pm.

Earlier this year, as a trial, a Rowing Group got together and aimed to row on the river Wear. After several training sessions in a dry tank, they recently took to the water! The experience was amazing and the best part was that not one of them fell in! In June 2014, Blind Life in Durham celebrated it's 10th Anniversary of becoming a charity. During the 10 years, the charity has grown and become involved with New Age Kurling, New Age Bowls, loaning out equipment and a reading group to name but some .
