Jacqui Bricknell Environmental Interpretation: Spring cleaning
http://jacquibricknell.blogspot.com/2014/03/spring-cleaning.html
Wednesday, 26 March 2014. This interpretation panel has been out in the field for over a decade and its beginning to show. All glass reinforced plastic (GRP) panels can be easily maintained by washing off residue with warm water. Warning - don’t use any detergent, it will dissolve the finish. Additionally, use a soft cloth or old cotton t-shirt to apply any silicon compound based polish, such as T-cut, over time this builds a protective waxy layer and makes cleaning even easier. Jacqui Bricknell Environmental Interpretation: St Mary's Land's, Warwick

Wednesday, 26 March 2014. St Mary's Land's, Warwick. Client: Warwick District Council. Walk out onto this large area of open land with its distant tree lined horizon stretching northward, and enjoy the sense of space. It’s ecological and historic interest are initially understated. Grassland wildlife maintain species from medieval agriculture into present day. Over the past 300 years, how many thousands of horses have raced around its perimeter, and continue to course by. Jacqui Bricknell Environmental Interpretation: December 2012
http://jacquibricknell.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 19 December 2012. A recent illustration featured on a soon-to-be-installed interpretation board at Kenilworth Common Local Nature Reserve. First described in 1778, this lovely fungi is often found in dark, damp leaf litter and is especially abundant under beech trees. The colour deepens when wet and particularly vivid when young. In dry conditions it fades to white. The cap starts off convexed becoming almost flat and pales as it matures. You'll find it between June and November. Se quiet wint...

Jacqui Bricknell Environmental Interpretation: design for print
http://jacquibricknell.blogspot.com/p/portfolio.html
Printing is expensive, you don't want to get it wrong. From desktop to published, you need to be confident that your graphic designer can submit well prepared layout and pre-press artwork to a commercial printer, without any gliches that may cause added expense and fail a tight deadline. Depend on accuracy when your in-house style, corporate colours and sponsors logos need to be reproduced exactly. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). There was an error in this gadget.

Feathered Upstart: April 2014
http://featheredupstart.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
The blog of an amateur birdwatcher based mostly in and around South Essex, but with occasional trips to exciting and exotic locations. Monday, 28 April 2014. Let's go fly a Kite. My abiding memory from that climb is Skylarks. All the way up, absolutely everywhere, singing their little hearts out. It really is an amazing sound and the sheer number was enough to make me happy, even if the views consisted of small black specks against bright blue sky (in Wales! Very unexpected, but most welcome). Juv Yellow...

The blog of an amateur birdwatcher based mostly in and around South Essex, but with occasional trips to exciting and exotic locations. Saturday, 17 August 2013. Sri Lanka Part 1 - Negombo. Fame, if you see him at Birdfair tell him Andrew and Amy said hi! That I liked to watch birds and we mysteriously ended up with naturalists as tour guides. So I didn't do too badly. No birds; just a beach, some exotic trees and the Indian ocean. You all know this one right? My guides called this out as a Plain Prinia, ...

The blog of an amateur birdwatcher based mostly in and around South Essex, but with occasional trips to exciting and exotic locations. Tuesday, 24 July 2012. Shortly to be renamed 'Pretty Insects'. I know it says birds in the title, but they don't come out well on phone cameras. Not a tick this time, but I'm fairly sure it's the first picture. Of a Red Admiral on patch at Tower Bridge. Looks like a bit of sunshine is doing some good. Very nice to see. Links to this post. Monday, 23 July 2012. Three peaks...
