The more you know, the more you see....: September 2010

Sunday, September 5, 2010. We went to the Labor Day Hot Air Balloon festival on Saturday morning. It was pretty cool. They are doing a "glow" tonight which is where they wait until it's really dark and then they pull the fire in their balloons to make them glow. It's pretty cool. I'll post some of that as well. Jennifer Franklin's photography blog: water in motion
http://jentwo.blogspot.com/2010/07/water-in-motion.html
Photos from my Flickr site:. Saturday, July 3, 2010. Originally uploaded by jentwo. This is a high-speed (1/4000 of a second) shot of water in a creek in Lundy Canyon in the Eastern Sierra Nevada. I noticed an active part of the creek that was in shade, with a well-lit portion of white water behind it. I knew if I metered for the part in shade, it would blow out the background and isolate in the foreground the fascinating shapes of water in motion. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
