What have you missed if you haven't tried one of the most famous Thai Desserts - Mango Stick Rice! It is, of course, one of my favourite after meal sweets and there's always room for Kao niao ma muang even though I'm starved with big meals. Thankful for having a supportive family, thankful to come home to someone who loves me (it really does help that she's an excellent cook as well), grateful for the friends that I have and just plain happy that I got out of bed this morning. It's been a very interesting year. 2014, a year of coming to terms with myself.

First thing that came to my mind was, "Oh No! As I caught up on the details a little later, I was glad that a friend who had been in Holland recently had arrived home a couple of weeks before. When the news first came in on Friday night, I was in shock. The first thing I did was I tried to call his mobile number. It went straight to voice mail.

In fact, when I was a part-time tour guide to my friends while based in Bangkok, I always used to preach, "You see, you like, you buy.". It's really that sexy. But the two things that swayed my decision to not consider the car, was the size of the interior (passenger seats) and the boot. At the end of the day practicality rules the day.
