December 28, 2014. 2014 was a year of career challenges, getting swole, traveling, and changing priorities. Let’s take a look at some of the goals I mentioned at the end of 2013 and see how I did. I continued going to Crossfit all year, solidly making it my main workout. I even fundraised for, and completed, my first Crossfit competition, United for Youth 2014. For Westside Athletes Association. I got a Runkeeper Elite subscription at the beginning of the year, and ran two races: Electric Run. I was supp...

Chloé Fleury – Diary of an illustrator and a mum
Diary of an illustrator and a mum. New Work for Too Faced cosmetics. February 21, 2018. I am so excited to finally share the Too-Faced campaign I had the pleasure to work on a few months ago. Photography By Stephanie Gonot. February 18, 2018. February 17, 2018. I am ...

Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Jumbotron in Smallville II. As promised, the following is an edited and updated version of my original post from 2011. Oh how some things change, while others stay the same. When I moved near the corner in 2000, the intersection contained a quaint little plaza on the northeast corner with a family-owned bakery, some untamed (and rather nice) trees on the southeast corner, and a sheep farm on the southwest corner. On top of the visual discrepancy, the Jumbotron is very distractin...

Thursday, April 30, 2015. Time for an annual cherry blossom post, courtesy of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's gorgeous trees! We also went into the greenhouses, which were lovely — I hadn't been inside them in years. Not much to add — hopefully you'll see plenty new photos from me soon, now that I'm back in the city and the weather is getting warmer. I'm trying to play around a bit more with editing, hence the lack of cohesion here. Labels: brooklyn botanic garden. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Reading about the British Government's poetry recitation initiative for school children, Poetry By Heart. Over the past few days brings to mind another recent attempt by the UK authorities to inculcate school kids with more sensitivity and smarts through cultural engagement.
