Cryptohaze Blog: Cryptohaze now supports Lotus hashes!

http://blog.cryptohaze.com/2012/10/cryptohaze-now-supports-lotus-hashes.html

The blog of GPU Rainbow Tables and brute forcer tools at http:/ www.cryptohaze.com/. Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Cryptohaze now supports Lotus hashes! New algorithm support (and what I believe is the fastest implementation out there at this point in time): Lotus Domino hashes. Unsalted only, for now. Performance, in a system with an AMD 6990 (43M/s total) and 2 overclocked 7970s (50M/s each):. I don't have a binary release yet, but it's all checked into SVN over at Sourceforge! Cryptohaze Blog: December 2012

http://blog.cryptohaze.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

The blog of GPU Rainbow Tables and brute forcer tools at http:/ www.cryptohaze.com/. Saturday, December 1, 2012. Nvcc, OS X, clang, and dumpspecs. If you are building with nvcc on OS X and get errors along the lines of " clang error: unsupported option '-dumpspecs'. Welcome to the new build world. The best fix I've found so far is to replace the /usr/bin/cc and /usr/bin/c symlinks (which currently go to clang) with symlinks to llvm-gcc. Sudo ln /usr/bin/llvm-gcc /usr/bin/cc. Cryptohaze Blog: April 2012

http://blog.cryptohaze.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

The blog of GPU Rainbow Tables and brute forcer tools at http:/ www.cryptohaze.com/. Sunday, April 29, 2012. New builds - 1.31a, with GTX680 support! Good news, everybody! The Cryptohaze downloads have gotten BIGGER! And there's another release. 1.31a. I've (theoretically) fixed a missing DLL in the Windows build, and I've added GTX680 (sm 30) support for the Windows and Linux builds. If anyone actually has a GTX680 in a Mac, let me know and I'll make a build. Libcurl linking errors on Windows? It also i...

Cryptohaze Blog: August 2012

http://blog.cryptohaze.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

The blog of GPU Rainbow Tables and brute forcer tools at http:/ www.cryptohaze.com/. Sunday, August 5, 2012. An interesting identity verification threat, observed. A threat model I have occasionally considered for things in the past is the use of a system for identity verification.  This could be verifying full stolen identities, or in the perhaps more common case, verifying stolen credit card numbers. Cryptohaze.com GPU WebTables

http://www.cryptohaze.com/gpuwebtables.php

The biggest problem right now with rainbow tables is the size, and the search speed. They're very large, and searching them requires very fast drives to provide acceptable performance. Fortunately, there's a solution to this! Cryptohaze WebTables give you all the benefits of rainbow tables (fast searching) without having to fully download the tables! Plus, by using a centralized server, fast drives can be installed and the cost spread among many users. I am working on adding a subscription service to sup...

Password Storage: You're doing it wrong if:. If any of these sound familiar, you might be doing password storage wrong. If so, there's good news: There are MUCH better ways to store passwords that are completely immune to the commonly available tools by being so computationally expensive that attacks on them are not feasible. Some things that indicate you're doing it wrong:. You see no reason to encrypt passwords at all - nobody will get your database! You think storing md5($password) is secure. The sad ...

Cryptohaze.com FAQ

http://www.cryptohaze.com/FAQ.php

Realistically, this technology is out there. Anyone who wants to can do what I'm doing - it's not anything radically unique. If you are storing passwords with a good algorithm (salted, minimum length/complexity requirements), this doesn't bother you at all. If you aren't. you should be! Md5($pass) is NOT a good password storage system! Never has been, and is about as bad as plaintext right now. Why should I donate? I'll even pay shipping for nice hardware. Why do you release cross-platform tools?
