Monday, March 23, 2015. Yesterday was a gorgeous Saturday in March. The sky was blue, the peach blossoms were pink, the grass was green, and the temperature was just right. Friday, July 31, 2015. The kids, grandma, and I just came back two days ago from a 9 day trip to Deerfield Beach, FL. So, just watch out for pictures and a post about that in the next day or two. And notes, and kluges. Smoking some pulled-pork for Field Day 2014 AARC. June 11, 2014. Here I am slaving over a hot BBQ pit to prepare some pulled pork for a Field Day meal. My brother Mike is checking the meat for me. Smoke time was about 8 hours, with another two in the oven because of a thunderstorm that came through. Then about 2 hours to tease the meat apart, sort, and vacuum seal it. (I wonder if I can get AARC volunteer credit for this? For general Field Day info you can try the ARRL’s page.
