Brandenburg Blurb: Have Car, Will Drive!
http://heybrandenburgs.blogspot.com/2012/03/have-car-will-drive.html
Monday, March 26, 2012. Have Car, Will Drive! This past weekend was filled with much anticipation. The girls got a fun present from grandma! As Elise was walking into the store, my mom asked her, "So, Elise, how does your heart feel? Her response, "My heart is beating very fast.". They are having a blast driving around the cul-de-sac. I would have loved a toy like this as a child, too! Thank you for such fun! Look of pure delight. Posted by John and Stacie. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Brandenburg Blurb: May 2012
http://heybrandenburgs.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 15, 2012. May 14th was a big day at the Brandenburg house! We celebrated Ariana's first year with a few friends, neighbors and family. She wore a pink tutu with a mini tiara and the birthday theme was pink polka dots. We served a taco bar, and decided to throw in a fun piñata for the festivities as well. Very appropriate for a 1 year old birthday party, don't you think? Fun with the pinata (inside). We also had a little treasure hunt, and the girls loved showing us their finds. By the end of...

I shouldn't be king: I'd like to teach the world to sing...
http://tobytyner.blogspot.com/2013/09/id-like-to-teach-world-to-sing.html
I shouldn't be king. A lot about life in, and informed by living in, Kansas. Tuesday, September 3, 2013. I'd like to teach the world to sing. There are so many things I'd go back three weeks and do differently. Not just because I see how they'd be better, but because I'm reaping the whirlwind of not having done them well. So many things make so much more sense to me now. Anything worth doing is hard. The big thing for me is regret that these kids won't get the teacher I someday hope to be. La vie de boehm.

I shouldn't be king: To my hero
http://tobytyner.blogspot.com/2013/09/to-my-hero.html
I shouldn't be king. A lot about life in, and informed by living in, Kansas. Thursday, September 26, 2013. Meditate on all you've done. Take a breath. Get through this moment. You can do anything. Meditate on all you've done. You helped a boy mature into a man who can love with a healthy passion instead of dysfunction. You helped turn a surprise into a loving family. You finished your college degree while battling difficult depression. You worked hard to become a teacher when you'd had no training. Lette...

I shouldn't be king: Pressure. Next. Pressure. Next.
http://tobytyner.blogspot.com/2013/10/pressure-next-pressure-next.html
I shouldn't be king. A lot about life in, and informed by living in, Kansas. Thursday, October 17, 2013. Pressure. Next. Pressure. Next. I enjoy myself most when I can be very present in a moment. I enjoy myself most when I sit down with a child and teach them something. I've been told to confess that it's going well. That's a whole different kind of pressure. If it's going well, then better is.well.even better. Early in the year I was chanting the mantra, "Everything is not this moment.". La vie de boehm.
