Ottawa Robotic Enthusiasts Blog | Hobby roboticists in Canada's national capital region

Ottawa Robotic Enthusiasts Blog. Hobby roboticists in Canada's national capital region. April 8, 2016. After having printed a lot with ABS and PLA, finally decided to get a roll of Ninjaflex filament for testing on my Prusa Version 1. I was expecting that given this filament’s flexible characteristics I would have to do many adjustments to the printing parameters however I was surprised at how easy it was to print almost perfectly since the first attempt. Extruder Temperature: 215 C. Ninjaflex is a great...

Ottawa Robotic Enthusiasts Blog. Hobby roboticists in Canada's national capital region. Lasering and 3D Printing. 3D Printed Chess Robot Gripper →. May 21, 2013. Just a quick video showing how I depanelize PCBs. I typically buy PCBs from SeeedStudio. And it makes sense to use the 10cm by 10cm board size and jam more than one PCB into that area. Diptrace. My schematic/PCB weapon of choice) makes it easy to panelize multiple designs, but its relatively easy in Eagle as well as others. App note: Designing f...

Ottawa Robotic Enthusiasts Blog. Hobby roboticists in Canada's national capital region. Newer posts →. The Reprap Prusa 3D printer lives! Finally. ;-). March 12, 2012. Well, I picked up the pieces for a Prusa 3D printer. Last year (as documented on this blog somewhere) and quickly built up the frame. I sourced the bits and pieces from all over which meant that some of it wasn’t a bit of a head scratcher to put together. In particular, the hot-end from Arcol. And then the Prusa started to haunt me. Ho...
