iPhone 6+, A Month later.

http://blog.teleri.net/iphone-6-mini-review

IPhone 6 , A Month later. Dating applications. As a newly single person the quality dating stuff is really being made exclusively for iPhone and usually Android. The general ecosystem as well. Coffee Meets Bagel, okcupid, tinder, and the halo apps like snapchat (. And instagram either don't exist or don't work on as well on WP. Sucks. Gaming. I like games, I really like mobile games, and some standout stuff is only available on iOS. iOS is still. Apple Pay. I wanted to try it, mostly. 4 Excellent notific...

The DevOps Dichotomy

http://blog.teleri.net/the-devops-dichotomy

The dichotomy of devops. Keey your systems and processes running smoothly and minimize disruption. Development. Create new features, and change the status quo (. Iterate. Reimagine. Release. So let's combine those two? How could anything go wrong? This is the last time I'll use 'devops'. It is only a mild exaggeration to say I want to throttle people who say devops. Of course the list of things I want. That thing' for the uninitiated. The concept of "developer" "operations". Be an operations person!

I pretty much wrecked the family computer (. Still waiting for the year of Linux on the desktop. It is, shut up, I don't want to hear it. And other boring shit. The Brave New World.

NET With Pointers Is Fun. Using 'unsafe' code in .NET. For the remainder of this post I'm going to assume basic familiarity with core .NET concepts such as the difference between reference and value types. If this sounds weird to you then this post may be difficult to understand in places. You can, of course, use features like platform invoke (P/Invoke) to run unmanaged code within your application but this method has a few drawbacks:. Why you don't want to use unsafe code. If you never felt comfortable ...

My product is bad, and I should feel bad.

http://blog.teleri.net/my-product-is-bad-and-i-should-feel-bad

My product is bad, and I should feel bad. The worst thing I can admit as a "software guy" is that I did a bad job. I mean, the worst thing I can admit to myself. You already knew it. 10:1 I did a bad job. I didn't do what my customer thought I was doing. I never do. They never ask me to do what they want. But maybe I can. Can I go back and ask my customer what they thought I was doing and do that? Can I do what they actually want and not what they think they want? Not for the other 20-50%. 2) Sell those ...
