Small Steps Big Gains. Wednesday, 28 May 2014. 27052014 - Weightlifting Tabata Something Else. A Power clean; 5x2@85%. 106kg - Feeling powerful today, weight was feeling light. B Clean and Jerk, 3x1@90kg. 113kg - Comfortable, bottom position of the clean felt really good. C Clean deadlift; 5x3@120%. Supposed to be at 156kg but i didn't have time to fit them in before the class started so did them after. Had nothing left after tabata something else. 120x1, 140x2, 150x2. There is no rest between exercises.

Friday, 31 January 2014. 30012014 - Run, HPC, MU, BBJ. 6 hang cleans @100kg. 10 burpee box jumps @24". 16:15 Stayed fairly consistent through the 2 rounds, i finished the first round at 7:49. So only 21 seconds difference between the first and second round. I broke the hang cleans into two sets of 3 and performed them all as hang power cleans, these felt really good! I actually hit a 5 rep max PB of 100kg for hang power clean warming up! Labels: burpee box jump. 10 c2b pull ups.

Felt weak here, i pulled 180 for a triple while on holiday a few months ago but 180 was a struggle for a single today. C1 Back squat; 3x5@75%. C2 Wtd. pull up; 3-3-3. D Bulgarian split squat; 8/leg; 2 minute rest. E Barbell glute bridges; 3x15; 90 seconds rest. 15 GHD sit ups. B C&J; 90%x1x2.

Small Steps Big Gains. Friday, 29 August 2014. 28082014 - Thorium Throwdown #3. 42 burpee over box jumps - 24". 42 wall ball - 9kg. 18 muscle ups (6:35). Paced the BBOJ to avoid gassing out, finished them at 2:47. Felt strong on the wall balls but broke 30-12 to save the shoulders for the muscle ups. Think i was a little to conservative on the pull ups as i wasn't sure how i would do going straight into muscle ups, broke them 15-12-9-6. Two sets of 15 and a 12 would have been better probably. Snatch just felt off today, got under 95kg three times but just kept losing it forward. B C&J; 90%x1x2. 118kg Jerk felt tougher than it should. C Anderson front squat; build to max. 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 105, 110, 115, 117.5, 120, 122.5x. Wow these are tough! D Front squat; 3x3@80-85%. E Clean pulls; 5x2@110%. 148kg, heavy shit!
