Ms. B's Bonnet —

Ms B's Bonnet. Dear Ms. B. Begins. October 9, 2014. I have homeschooled my kids since birth. When I became pregnant with my first child in 1992, I was teaching at an inner city middle school in San Diego. Ms B's Bonnet. September 2, 2012. I think I know what a humble little stone in a sling shot might feel just before being released into the wild blue yonder. I can feel the tension… pulling, pulling, pulling… back, back, back… and suddenly Tuesday morning I will be launched into the new school year! I will have 17 classes. This year, and most of them are filled to overflowing! I am down to just two of my own kids now that the oldest has packed up and moved on to college *sniff! And I got to thinking,.

940 Saturdays

http://blog.writingfoundations.com/2012/09/940-saturdays

Ms B's Bonnet. September 2, 2012. I was reading over at Jennifer’s blog. And she said something that deeply moved me today:. Recently I read that we have 940 Saturdays with our children from birth until their 18th birthday. For my girls those are more than halfway gone. I hope we have many more as fun filled as this one. All I could think was, did I appreciate this back then as much as I do now? Did I tell him how wonderful it is, how wonderful he is? Did he know back then how much I love him?

Writing) Style Wars: A New Hope. July 8, 2008. Strunk and White’s The Elements of Style. Is a classic style guide, and it’s useful in many ways. Arguably one of its biggest contributions is that it gets us to think about the way we put words together. William Strunk demanded mindfulness, and that’s a good thing. But it’s also a lot to live up to. For many would-be writers, Strunk and White can be downright intimidating. And that’s not a good thing. This once-useful adverb meaning “with hope has bee...

His Chinese connection had mentioned a 24 hour hiatus before the effects would become apparent and so, that evening, he retired to where he had conceived the idea and toasted himself as the fireworks from the Military Tattoo lit up the sky. And went largely unnoticed. The Internet came alive with bitching. Comics stat...
