extraordinary machine: We love you, Paige.

Thursday, July 22, 2010. We love you, Paige. For those of you who haven't heard, here's what's been going on. One of our leaders, Paige Hicks, passed away this past Tuesday, July 20, as she was struck by a truck carrying an oversized load in South Dakota. Thankfully the other ride who was with her at the time was unharmed. More information about what happened and about the steps that Bike and Build is taking can be found here. All my love to everyone. Please stay safe wherever you are. Music of the moment.

The real purpose of my being here, however, is interning at NARAL Pro-Choice California. Oh, and Pride. 2 My favorite thin...

Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Wow, so I have completely neglected this blog for an entire semester. Boo. In that time, much has happened. I finished my capstone paper on Christian-based reproductive rights activism. I turned 22. I wore pajamas while playing sax while ice skating. The Huskies won again (love my UConn women). I ran my first ever (two! Things certainly could have turned out much worse than they did and I feel incredibly lucky. The surgery happened in Providence (luckily my mom was able to ge...

http://niuwrc.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
NIU Women's Resource Center. Monday, January 31, 2011. Today, when I was walking from class to work, something happened. It happens rather frequently. You have probably witnessed it, or even have been a victim of it. So, what happened you might ask? Many of us do this – namely, because we do not know how to react. We know that these instances of street harassment are not right but many of us are at a loss on what to do. Tuesday, Febuary 1st. Heritage room, Holmes Student Center. Friday, January 28, 2011.
