Teaching Ain't For Heroes: What'd You Do Today?
http://teachingaintforheroes.blogspot.com/2014/11/whatd-you-do-today.html
Teaching Ain't For Heroes. From the inside of a public school in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Wednesday, November 5, 2014. What'd You Do Today? We've all had that conversation with our kids. You excitedly pick your child up from the carpool line and the first question you ask is "What do you do at school today? The answer most often is "Nothing.". Why do they do that? What'd you do today? Is only going to produce an irritated "NOTHING! Sometimes this doesn't work and my son just tells me he liked recess...

http://teamaprati.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. Today Joey, Lily and Charlie got together at Charlie's house again to hand out candy to Trick-Or-Treaters. Again, I believe the true reason these three get together is so their Mom's can take pictures of them. We had so much fun, Joey was such a good boy today. Hardly any crying. Maybe we are turning a corner on the crying! Moms and their happy Halloweeners. The cutest Ladybug, Skeleton (as Charlie is clearly all skin and bones! And Lion (with a mane that's out of CONTROL! This ...

http://teamaprati.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 24, 2010. I know I'm a few days late on this but. Our "Little Man" turned three months on Monday, November 22. I can't believe how fast time is flying. Joey, you are so much more than I could have ever expected. Over the last month, you've had a lot of changes in your life little boy, and you've handled them so well (even if Mom didn't.) to recap:. 1- (and the biggest change in my book) I had to go back to work this month. Nothing seems to make you anxious! 2- You're able to hold your...

http://teamaprati.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 19, 2010. We went to visit Santa today at the Icehouse mall in Barrington. I wanted to desperately avoid all the Woodfield brou-haha, and the Santa we visited was absolutely perfect! Joe-Joe was such a good boy. I think we're all really in the Christmas spirit now! Seeing Santa is tough work. Links to this post. Thursday, December 9, 2010. Favorite time of day. Now that I'm back at work, I just cherish each moment in the mornings before I leave and at night when I get home. In the evenin...

Teaching Ain't For Heroes: The Problem with Energy Drinks
http://teachingaintforheroes.blogspot.com/2011/07/problem-with-energy-drinks.html
Teaching Ain't For Heroes. From the inside of a public school in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Friday, July 8, 2011. The Problem with Energy Drinks. Remember that extra special caffeine pill episode of Saved by the Bell? Yes, one of them is really called "Cocaine". What does it do to kids? About what you'd expect. They are wired. In the long term, they need more caffeine to get to that wired reaction. It turns into needing the caffeine just to function rather than needing the caffeine as a pick me up...

Teaching Ain't For Heroes: What Should I Do This Summer?
http://teachingaintforheroes.blogspot.com/2015/06/what-should-i-do-in-summer.html
Teaching Ain't For Heroes. From the inside of a public school in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Tuesday, June 2, 2015. What Should I Do This Summer? 1 Check out local kid programs! This may involve some travel for those living in more rural locations, but it will be well worth it. Check out what free or low cost programs are available in your city. For instance, in Louisville, my hometown, we have a cultural pass for everyone ages zero through sixteen. What does that mean? 2 Check out the library programs!

Life's little blessings...: June 2013
http://arcau2123.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
June 30, 2013. Summer pictures make me so happy, especially with my new camera. This is the first time I have whipped it out for some of our summer fun, and it was totally worth it because I got some great shots! We were having some good old sprinkler fun. Well, Bella was. But it was very important that she took a few breaks here and there. Wouldn't be resting without a little girl drama. She loved playing in the water, and this year is a lot better about water in her eyes. Look at that sweet, sweet smile.

Team Aprati: April 2011
http://teamaprati.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 11, 2011. A few weeks ago, we were still all bundled up in our winter weather gear for our daily walks. And just like that- - BAM! The warm(er) weather has arrived. Joey is such a stud on the playground, and just melts everyone's hearts when we go to the park. This past Sunday the weather reached 80 degrees. Even though we all know it only lasts really for one day, and that show will probably fall at least once more. we so enjoyed the warm weather. Making stinky faces at his Aunt Katie.
