Friday, October 13, 2006. Beautiful day today. the best since I've arrived. If you sat outside today you could even have got a tan! Spent the morning reading the paper in the sunshine then went off to see the Rodin exibition at the Royal Academy. I've been a fan of Rodin for a while now, I saw a bronze cast of the thinker in Mexico city, but after today I can safely say that I am a MASSIVE fan. His scultures left me floored it was like Monet * 911! Gates of hell you say? I'll be going this way then.".

Thursday, October 04, 2007. So work is done and we're heading down under for a holiday! On our way back we spent 3 days in New York and I loved every minute of it. This is the avenue of the Americas, named after the countries that share the American continent. America. Canada. and. all the other countries." It ended up being a good laugh though and was a good way to have a "quick" look around. But all of this is only the warm up for New York's most famous of institutions Rock Kareoke! Then way too soon i...

Friday, December 08, 2006. From Little fish to Ralf. Well it's been a mad house around here recently! Firstly we had Catherine's sister come and stay with us then our friend from Animal Logic, Rafe. The good thing about having visitors of course is "touristy company", which gives me a chance to do things like.go on the London Eye (finally! Posted by pabs at 11:33 pm. As soon as we got back from Rome we raced off to the European Premiere of Happy Feet! It was a really cool night. After the movie we jumped...

Friday, February 23, 2007. Belly of the Wales. Firstly, sorry for being so hopeless with the updates. It's not that nothing has been happenning, it's just that nothing really "blog worthy" has been happenning and lets face it once you start compromising your standards it's a slippery slope to indifference and mediocrity :). One thing that is blog worthy though is "Happy Feet" bringing home the little gold man. So congrats to George and congrats to everyone! Which reminds me of the time I went to Wales.

Tuesday, April 10, 2007. Budapest in Easter can only be described as a city of delicious cake and shatterred dreams. The rest of the day was spent doing the tourist thing, trying on some wacky hats and checking out the sights. Then at night we got some fantastic food at little restaurant by the hotel followed by the strongest shot of anything I have ever tried. I coughed my way back home but it had been a good day. Of course when you walk up a million steps straight after, in what can only be described a...

Friday, November 17, 2006. Polar bears and Asia. For all that though, the exhibition was really good and really stayed with me. In the afternoon I went to the British Museum (again) and just sat around looking at the Asian relics. I needed something a bit more Zen than stuffed bears (poor bears.) and the scultptures in there are just amazing. How cool are god's with 8 arms and 3 heads! Posted by pabs at 12:36 am. Fast cars in Ireland. On the sunday I got to go and watch the local hurling team play-off fo...

Sunday, January 07, 2007. After a few false starts I have finally landed a new job! I'll be working with Polar Bears and it should be great fun. Posted by pabs at 4:58 am. Christmas in my eyes. Thankfully, after all the excitement of trying to get to Catherine's house, the rest of our holiday was much more conventionally relaxing. Christmas eve was a quality lazing day. pub and lazing. Then for Christmas day we woke up too. . . presents! Then it was off to church and then straight to the pub! Don't ask m...
