By amendment in 1996, the number was increased to twelve. Currently, one Director represents the Harris Township Supervisors and the remaining Directors are elected by the membership. The Directors elect a president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. These serve as officers of both the Directors and the Museum Association.

These notes are a compilation of its beginning and growth during the ensuing twenty years. The main source of information has been the minutes of the organization as it met in general session or as its Board of Directors, and has been compiled by Earl M. Kesler in October 2002. The Sara Sweet House, built in 1825, houses the Boalsburg Heritage Museum.

The Story of Memorial Day. Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum. Open six days a week. 1:30 to 5 pm. Spring and fall, 10 am - 5 pm. In the summer, except summer Sunday's, Noon - 5 pm.
