A little peek into our adventures...: January 2012
http://theshirleyexperience.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
A little peek into our adventures. Friday, January 27, 2012. New Years in Utah. Nobody plans a party like my mom that is for sure. My kids and I were a little sad about the complete lack of snow there was. My parent's yard had a little patch at least in their front yard - which was enough to satisfy my kids. We have to get some use out of our warm clothes when we can. Layla isn't a huge fan of her big puffy coat though- it makes it hard for her to move, which is kind of nice for me! My Uncle and Aunt who...

Polka-Spots & Stripeys: Adulting
http://lydi-bird.blogspot.com/2015/07/adulting.html
Best of Polka-Spots and Stripeys. July 3, 2015. I've been trying to figure out why my blog has petered out over the last year. It's not that I don't have time. After all, post-graduation I spent months at home with only a part time job to occupy me. Even now, with a full-time job, I have plenty of time to read and watch TV. Who knows. All I know is that I rarely write here anymore. Maybe I should finish up my last 30 Day Challenge. You know, the one I started over a year ago. hahaha. I began hardcore bud...

Rowe Family Blog: Thanksgiving 2011
http://roweblahgs.blogspot.com/2012/03/thanksgiving-2011.html
Sunday, March 25, 2012. We had such a fun Thanksgiving last year that I didn't want to miss it and forget to blog about it. Even though it was about 4 months ago! We were able to go down to St. George and stay in some condos with some of my family - my parents, my sister and her family, my brother and his wife, and of course the two single bros. It was fun to not only just get away to some beautiful weather for a couple days but to also spend time all together. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Rowe Family Blog: Spring Break
http://roweblahgs.blogspot.com/2012/05/spring-break.html
Sunday, May 27, 2012. In April we were able to head to St. George for a few days over Spring Break. We had a fantastic time together just our little family! We spent a lot of time with this double jogger - lots of hiking and having fun. Thankfully Benny still fits in it comfortably! Unfortunately we don't have pictures of that spot. We were able to spend one whole day at Zions. It was a perfect day and our kids loved it! A stop at Weeping Rock also with a great view. . . . And then we found this little n...

New kid on the blog. Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Repeating image always makes for a fun and interesting art piece. Here are some student samples from when I was student teaching. These paintings make great beginning art assignments because advanced drawing skills are not required Drawing is usually the lesson where young artists get discouraged. I love that you are doing this series! June 2, 2010 at 4:56 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Landscape painting in acrylic. View my complete profile.

Polka-Spots & Stripeys: February 2015

Best of Polka-Spots and Stripeys. February 25, 2015. Once upon a time (meaning today), in a land not-so far away, I went to work. Lion House, Salt Lake City, Utah" by Ken Lund. Available via Creative Commons License. Https:/ www.flickr.com/photos/kenlund/144442933/. Once all the meals were covered and ready to go, I put them on a tray and carried them to the Social Room. One by one, I set each plate in front of the guest and removed the cover to reveal a pan-seared chicken breast with a tomato herb p...

The Jared - Laurel Thing: When Ellie Turned Four
http://thejaredlaurelthing.blogspot.com/2015/05/when-ellie-turned-four.html
The Jared - Laurel Thing. Friday, May 15, 2015. When Ellie Turned Four. Yes, this is from May 2014. But first, to distract you from the fact that this post is over a year late, here is a picture of Noah at the dollar store, wondering why on earth there's a kid inside a potty:. And now, Welcome to Ponyville! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). She's growing up way too fast! She sure makes life interesting! He keeps us laughing (and crying). Trying to bust out of childhood early. How come you're so smart?

The Jared - Laurel Thing: January 2014
http://thejaredlaurelthing.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
The Jared - Laurel Thing. Friday, January 24, 2014. August Events of 2013. In August I got to see how much my toes had healed via x-ray. They were pain-free, but not completely healed. Still, I got the okay to start running again, so I was a happy camper. We also had our first visit from Dad and Terree in August. They were so much fun to play with! They set us up to go to the beach for the first time (not in the winter) - yay! And an example of a perfect play date for Ellie. Isaac's first tooth (finally!

The Jared - Laurel Thing: April 2014
http://thejaredlaurelthing.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
The Jared - Laurel Thing. Sunday, April 27, 2014. Our family used the movie "Up" as our costume theme for Halloween. Ellie was, of course, the young Ellie. Noah was the young Carl Fredrickson. We parents were the hardest ones to guess- George. Everyone thought we just came in our normal work clothes until we pointed to our badges. Even then, we usually had to explain. Jared proved, once again, that anything can be made with duct tape, cardboard and brown paper. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). That was the be...

The Jared - Laurel Thing: August 2013
http://thejaredlaurelthing.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
The Jared - Laurel Thing. Saturday, August 3, 2013. Now that summer is almost over, here are some things that happened at the beginning of the season. The boys had their last day of school. They brought plants to each of their teachers with measuring sticks that said, "Thanks for helping me grow this year! They did grow this year, in so many ways. We said goodbye to Ms. Valadez, who taught Noah for her last year before retiring. Two years ago she taught Isaac. She's an amazing teacher! We went to Governm...
