Existing In BFE: Quiet Zone
http://existinginbfe.blogspot.com/2015/07/quiet-zone.html
Wherever You Are, You're In BFE. Thursday, July 30, 2015. I don't do editorials very often and strictly speaking this isn't one either. But I ran across the old Peanuts cartoon above and remembered how much I enjoyed its homespun philosophy when it was alive and kicking in newspapers. Frankly I was taken by how much that cartoon applies to my personal way of thinking, perhaps not so much by choice, but by the fact that silence often keeps trouble at bay. Waylon Jennings son apologizes.". Beauty From A Cl...

Existing In BFE: Vinoy Morning - Part 1
http://existinginbfe.blogspot.com/2015/08/vinoy-morning-part-1.html
Wherever You Are, You're In BFE. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Vinoy Morning - Part 1. Vinoy Park, one of my favorite places down here, seemed like a nice try on this perfectly semi-cloudy morning a couple weeks ago. With my new Tokina 14-16 mm lens that I am learning to use in hand, I trundled over to the park and took these pictures. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Excellent Sites For Your Consideration. Existing In BFE: A Cancelled Fourth - Part 2
http://existinginbfe.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-cancelled-fourth-part-2.html
Wherever You Are, You're In BFE. Monday, August 3, 2015. A Cancelled Fourth - Part 2. The following pictures are of a couple playful dolphins that entertained us awhile, the storm clouds over the bay and the whitecaps when the storm began to get serious. But not all was lost. Drew and Kenzie had a small show the next day in their yard. We had scores and a sparkler demonstration by Norah. We did all the kiddie stuff and have a great arsenal lined up for New Year's. Wherever You Are, You're In BFE. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. On the way back to Floriduh this big guy was over to the right and I saw several lightening bolts as we passed by. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a shot of one. Last week a guy walking on the sidewalk was killed by lightening. Floriduh is the lightening capitol of he US. Since 1959 477 have been killed. This isn't the cheaper quality plastic stuff they have today. This is an iconic Americana toy. What a find! And now LGBT individuals have the r...

Wherever You Are, You're In BFE. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Today's cartoons are so bland and safe, and litigiously clean that the only thing you can fault them for is the length they go to say nothing. Gone are the jokes, the social commentary, the edginess that made us think Bugs was the coolest cat (or bunny) of them all. A recent sunrise at Bedlam. Mars was flirting with the Moon last week. Wherever You Are, You're In BFE. Friday, November 28, 2014. One of our favorite sayings in the editorial halls of Existing In BFE. Is, "Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.". Phil looks to be enjoying a cigar which Herb probably offered as he did often. He preferred Dutch Master's Presidents. I'm not sure what kind of ventilation we had in the garage but cooking on the grill is fairly common throughout the year in Northlandia regardless of the weather. Links to this post. Wherever You Are, You're In BFE. Monday, February 23, 2015. It's been about three months since I took a week off so I'll sign off till Monday, March 2. I'm about to run out of material.}. I may try to find those lovelies up in the picture and see if they will take me on as their 4th. Fat chance. Having never skied in my life I doubt if I could even carry their swimsuits.}. Have a great week and if you think about it, return in March and we'll see what is happening here in BFE. Links to this post. One oth...

Wherever You Are, You're In BFE. Friday, January 30, 2015. Flashback Friday - My Cars Part 1. Mark and being wombies and all did most things pretty much together throughout the early years. We went to the doctor together, shopping together, and even dressed alike until high school. With high school we started to separate - we pretty much had our own friends, had our own. But this isn't about the old brown Chevy that I adopted occasionally, it is about Mark and I's first car, the Nova. Links to this post.

Existing In BFE: Tuesday Tidbits

Wherever You Are, You're In BFE. Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Two of my favorite single lines in movies are the above from Planet of the Apes. The second, (sorry, no You Tube clip) is Nigel Davenport's steely proper English Sergeant-Major, when he tells his outnumbered troops in Zulu: "Steady. Steady, lads." I've used both phrases off and on with family for decades. My third and final doctor's appointment is on the 11th. After that I will look for a cheap ticket back to Northlandia. This is a very short film...

Existing In BFE: Only In the U.S.
http://existinginbfe.blogspot.com/2015/08/only-in-us.html
Wherever You Are, You're In BFE. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Only In the U.S. Word arrived that HitchBot died yesterday in Philadelphia. Not just died, mind you, no, its arms were yanked off, he was kicked and decapitated. Destroyed. Don't know who Hitchbot was, well, neither did I until I read the article? Hitchbot was equipped with a GPS and a camera and could converse with people who picked him up as well as a G3 connection so its parents could track its whereabouts. We are certainly in denial. I'm tire...
