Thursday, September 18, 2008. I have been in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, for about a month now. My Spanish is definitely getting better! However, my host mom still introduces me as her daughter that SPEAKS Spanish, but doesn't UNDERSTAND Spanish. This is because the people here talk really fast, and my ears are still adjusting so that I can tell the difference between the start and end of words. I am getting better at it though! Monday, May 18, 2009. I have now completed 9 months in Bolivia! Which means I only have 23 days left before I return to the U.S. on the 11th of June! I finally got a chance to go to el campo (the countryside) where my family has tons of cows! The weather here has started to become cold and rainy!
