Knowledge Base: January 2011
http://englemanknowledgebase.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
A New Librarian's Information Science Journey. Saturday, January 29, 2011. National Anthem and Indiana Woman. I want to post about something that may not have anything to do with information literacy, but we could stretch the argument. I came across this news story. A few minutes ago. Here’s another link at ABC. Now, I’m not one to get emotional or misty eyed over patriotic offerings. I usually think people go a bit far with that kind of stuff. I wish I had this young woman’s talent. So, it’s makin...

Knowledge Base: Personal Happy Post
http://englemanknowledgebase.blogspot.com/2011/06/personal-happy-post.html
A New Librarian's Information Science Journey. Sunday, June 5, 2011. So, I was all freaking out about my 29. It’s one year from 30, boo hoo. But apparently 29 is going to be an awesome year. And all that’s been in the last ten days. Seriously, I’m employed! At an academic library! I actually had to turn down another potential job in order to take this one. How awesome is that? I met with the reference team and the Dean last Thursday. They are such a cool bunch of people. It’s nice to see. I always do this.

Knowledge Base: December 2010
http://englemanknowledgebase.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
A New Librarian's Information Science Journey. Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Welcome to Knowledge Base. The first post, however, is for fun and a little bragging. I'm posting my comps results because I'm so very proud. I passed with distinction, which I'm so bragging about for the next few. I'm still new to this blogging experience, so there will most likely be several technical snafus. More learning! I'll be back next week with an actual topic. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). It should go without saying, but my blog is in no way affiliated with or representative of any institutions or groups to which I'm connected. It's all me! View my complete profile.

Knowledge Base: Webinar Participation: The Fine Art of Weeding
http://englemanknowledgebase.blogspot.com/2011/05/webinar-participation-fine-art-of.html
A New Librarian's Information Science Journey. Friday, May 27, 2011. Webinar Participation: The Fine Art of Weeding. I’ve developed a love of weeding in libraries. Libraries need healthy collections. Weeding, much like in gardening, helps them accomplish this. And I’ll admit it’s taken me years to gain an appreciation for this task. I think working on a mock collection development policy for a hospital library helped raise my awareness. Books sitting on shelves also cost money-just sitting there. Medical...

A New Librarian's Information Science Journey. Sunday, May 22, 2011. It's the End of the World as We Know It! I had a wonderful day yesterday. My neighbors, their kids, and I dug up a garden bed for a small community garden. I've got blisters and bug bites. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. FamilyArchivist: CPD23 Thing 3 Personal Brand
http://familyarchivist.blogspot.com/2011/08/cpd23-thing-3-personal-brand.html
Wednesday, August 24, 2011. CPD23 Thing 3 Personal Brand. I have always been a very private person. I don't have my phone listed in the phone book, I use a junk mail address (that I do monitor) for almost contact that is not directly work related. Only my closest family and friends have my real email address and phone numbers. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Library Blogs I Read. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
