Covet the Dust: November 2013
http://covetthedust.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 18, 2013. Arkansas weather is a crazy thing. One minute we're bundled up, watching the smoke drift from the chimneys, and smelling that heavenly aroma of a fire crackling in someone's fireplace. The next day we're in flip flops and tank tops. And turning the AC back on. That was our weekend. Friday the kids and I marveled at the frost on the rooftops and shimmering on the brown grass. Saturday we were sweating as we cleaned out the garage. That's just the way it is here. As if I almost f...

The McClure's: Random Updates
http://the-mcclures.blogspot.com/2011/08/random-updates.html
Saturday, August 27, 2011. This post is all about randomness - so I'll apologize up front for that. First of all, we finally got Ryleigh in to see the Dr. for her 2 year checkup. Everything is fine - which I could have told you. I was more wanting to see where she fell on the charts since the last checkup! She is now 26 1/2 pounds (45%) and 34 1/4 inches long (50%). So, we're definitely on the charts for good now I think! Kyle and I immediately burst out laughing. Complete and utter failure on our pa...

The McClure's: October 2011
http://the-mcclures.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 20, 2011. I hate change, I really do. Unfortunately it is the one of the most consistent things in life, and according to a personality test from work I thrive on it! Radical - David Platt. Crazy Love - Francis Chan. Sun Stand Still - Steven Furtick. Our Last Great Hope - Dr. Ronnie Floyd. Loving Our Kids on Purpose - Danny Silk. Weird - Craig Groeschel. Hopefully we'll get some good ones from the photographer. She has sent me this one so far - we love it! I'm not sure I'm ready, but I ...

The McClure's: March 2014
http://the-mcclures.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 19, 2014. So, I know we all know this hard, cold, painful truth right? I mean, personally I think this was my dad's motto when raising my sister and I. I hated hearing this, and I still do. Not because I don't like the words, but because I don't like the truth of it. But there is it, and somehow we have to pick ourselves up and work through the parts of life that just aren't fair. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. The McClure's: July 2013
http://the-mcclures.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 15, 2013. And then we got there. With 2 kids. And for the first time in the 4 years that I've had children I realized something. Vacations aren't really just for me anymore! Because all that fun stuff that I was dreaming about.didn't happen quite like I'd imagined. I had to lay in the shade at the pool because Kayla didn't need to be in the sun. At the beach, I was too busy with both girls to be able to lay down at all, much less in peace and quite and read a book! The thing to note about th...

The McClure's: November 2010
http://the-mcclures.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 7, 2010. So I was reminded today both by my husband and mother that I don't tweet, update my facebook status or blog like I should! Guess that was my not so subtle hint that's it's time for an update. Funny thing is that those are the two people who least need the update! First of all, I just want to say that I'm so excited that it's fall! We "conquered" the maze (see picture below) and have decided that we'll definitely go back next year. As if all that wasn't enough drama, this all hap...

Covet the Dust: August 2013
http://covetthedust.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 8, 2013. Just a little crafty. Not only am i a terrible blogger these days, but i'm also a terrible crafter. But last night i crafted. Gasps from the audience}. And it was fun! It wasn't much, but it was just enough to get me excited about crafting again. My sweet, sweet daughter informed me she does NOT like the pompom fringe. WHAT? Pompom fringe SCREAMS Doh Doh. Because you know i won't take it off! I mean, come on! I already did subdued colors! What more do you want from me? I have to...
