It seems that the computer is caching more aggressively than it used to. The methods I used to use to get pictures to the blog aren't always working any more. Saturday, May 14, 2011. Art In Bloom at the MFA. On Saturday April 30th, I took the 3 youngest to visit the Art in Bloom at the MFA. Really, I just wanted to take J.B. because he loves art and he and I enjoy going. Soren and Lachlan really cramp my style when it comes to art museums- "This is boring; when can we leave? Lots of whining and carrying on. We stopped at the beginning of the flowers to see a few pieces in the glassblower- Chihuly Exhibit, which we'll go back and see in its entirety later.

Friday, January 28, 2011. For the last 10 or so years James and I have been bringing in the New Year with a home cooked dinner of lobster and prime rib (with all the fixins). Monday, April 26, 2010. For 5 weeks every year our Elementary School gets a bunch of awesome gymnastic equipment for the gymnastics unit. At the end of the unit, they invite the parents to come for what they call, "peak week.". Each of the kids get an opportunity to use the gymnastics equipment to create a "sentence" based on certain parameters, but with their own abilities and creativity taken into consideration. Sunday, March 21, 2010. Right after James' performance at the Elementary School, we quickly changed out of our Polynesian clothing, and then drove to Symphony Hall in Boston where Jansen (and a few other kids) were performing. Jansen had been there since Thursday morning. The all state chorus practiced for 9 hours Thursday, 10 hours Friday, and 30 minutes on Saturday before the afternoon concert. Wednesday, January 30, 2013. I'm not sure I'm ready to run on Saturday! This past Saturday I ran ten miles in a downpour (see photo) and my calves got so sore! I don't understand why the week before I ran 9 miles with no soreness afterward at all! Anyway, hopefully the soreness will abate in time. But we were happy to have the extra days and feeling contentedly ready to go back. JB is in 6th grade this year. He takes a bus to school. Logan is in 8th grade this year.
