Baldocks Mill - The Heritage Centre. Some Facts About the Heritage Centre. Is the only remaining mill in the town and is over 200 years old. The Doomsday Book gave Bourne three mills and there has been a mill on this site since 1086. Bourne Castle was on the other side of Bourne Eau in the area now known as the Well Head Fields. The last family to live in the mill was called Baldock, hence the name Baldocks Mill. The mill has three floors. President: Baroness Willoughby de'Eresby.

The Raymond Mays and BRM Exhibition. The exhibition, maintained on the first floor of the Heritage Centre, is a lasting tribute to and commemoration of the life and racing career of Raymond Mays and the achievements of the ERA and BRM racing cars. There is an extensive display of trophies, memorabilia and photographs, probably unique in the country, which will be of interest to all motor racing fans. Alternative visit times can be made by appointment. Appintments can be made via our contacts page.
