Now that enough time has lapsed after the surgery, I look back and realize there were things I didn't anticipate, things to which there was no information about, and things I just learned along the way. Sharing them with you might facilitate you in your journey. I hope they help. When reading about the one-stage method, it was said that the bone graph is taken from the heel. This was the area I envisioned being affected by this. But I found this to be the true area affected by the bone graph surgery.

I worked out today for the first time in all these months, and although it wasn’t very “impressive” in terms of what I did, I feel so much better for doing it! This is truly the best part of all.

Monday, July 9, 2012. 8 weeks and 4 days. The fixator dug into my skin creating a very bad wound. He removed it when it got to this point! My foot after the fixator was removed. It's still swollen and looks weird but I have length and the wound is healing better now that the fixator is gone! Sunday, June 10, 2012.

The update is that I'm just enjoying life. :) Once some time has past after your surgery you should be able to move on and not think about Brachy much anymore.
