Monday, August 10, 2015. We continued our drive up into the mountains. The road climbs quite a bit, but the views are quite spectacular from 12,000 ft! At one of our stops there were a million chipmunks. And they loved people. They would come right up to you. There was one guy who just sat super still and he had them climbing all over him. Sunday, August 2, 2015. It’s been about a year and a half since I’ve been to Utah, so since we live within driving distance now it was time for a trip. We had quite the to do list while we were there. Things to Do While in Utah. Meet my aunt Jessica for the first time. Who is pregnant with my baby cousin. My uncle got married last year and now they are having a baby boy in September. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Evelyn at 3 Months. If you just look at her, she will light up with the biggest smile. She is just the happiest baby. The phenomenal sleeping continues. At least 12 hours at night. And her naps are getting better too. She takes 3 naps during the day and usually she has one that is a good 3 or 4 hours long. Has discovered her hands. Sunday, February 3, 2013. The hanger that held the shuttle was dimly lit except for bright splashes of direct sunlight creating a very wide range of light from dark to bright. In this situation I'd normally use a tripod and shoot bracketed exposure HDRs, but tripods weren't permitted in the museum. This made it really difficult to get great shots, but I think a few turned out pretty well. 1/80 sec at f/4.5, ISO 1600, 22mm. 1/250 sec at f/5, ISO 1600, 123mm. 1/40 sec at f/4, ISO 1600, 16mm.

I originally shot this as an HDR (I bracketed three shots with different exposures to merge them later), but after processing them through my HDR software a couple times the photo just wasn't coming out. It just looked kind of unrealistic and I couldn't get the contrast that I wanted. 1/30 sec at f/11, ISO 100, 22mm. HDR: 1/250, 1/60, 1/15 sec at f/11, ISO 100, 10mm. 1/15 sec at f/3.5, ISO 800, 10mm. 1/25 sec at f/4, ISO 1600, 15mm.

The Evans building of the Penn School of Dental Medicine is 100 years old this year, so I thought I would pay a little tribute to my school.
