Brad and Steph: No pictures, please!

http://www.bradandstephlatta.blogspot.com/2009/08/no-pictures-please.html

Children are a gift of the Lord." -Psalms 127:3. Saturday, August 8, 2009. No pictures, please! We DID discover an interesting tidbit of information from my friend, Lindsey, though. Apparently, Virginia College (a technical school around here for you out-of-state folks) offers free ultrasounds every Thursday, so that their students can get hands-on training. It's completely free and the only thing you pay for is the ultrasound pictures if you want them, which are $10. This just made my day! I am glad you...

Brad and Steph: Pink and Flowers It Is... Or Is It???

http://www.bradandstephlatta.blogspot.com/2009/08/pink-and-flowers-it-is.html

Children are a gift of the Lord." -Psalms 127:3. Thursday, August 13, 2009. Pink and Flowers It Is. Or Is It? Brad and I went back to Virginia College today for our 16 week ultrasound and got a nice surprise! We thought that it might still be a little too early to tell the baby's gender, but the tech claimed she saw the magic "3 lines" and therefore was pretty sure it was a girl, although she couldn't say 100% because #1) she's just a student and #2) who can really be 100% with an ultrasound anyway?

Brad and Steph: 13 weeks!

http://www.bradandstephlatta.blogspot.com/2009/07/13-weeks.html

Children are a gift of the Lord." -Psalms 127:3. Thursday, July 23, 2009. Stephanie is at 13 weeks and 2 days today, and things are still going well. We go back to the doctor on Monday, which will be very exciting. Also, we find out the baby's gender ("sex" sounds weird to me. I know, I'm like a teenager) in about 5-6 weeks, so we have that going on too. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Here a moo, there a moo, everywhere a moo moo! Brad and Steph: September 2009

http://www.bradandstephlatta.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Children are a gift of the Lord." -Psalms 127:3. Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Introducing Morgan Elizabeth Latta! Here's Morgan's first official picture! This was done at our ultrasound with Dr. Gregory yesterday. The tech switched a few times to the 4D view during the ultrasound. This is one of those 4D shots when she was sucking her thumb. Right after this, she stretched and yawned- it was so adorable! If we can't figure out a way to do it, then I'll burn some copies to ma. The nursery plans are movi...

Kris' Confusion Imposed on You. 8220;The Sacred Meal” not so filling. 8221; were the words of Jesus. Paul recognizes the church’s experience in the observance of that sacred meal is “to show forth the Lord’s death until he comes.”. We can live it out together to the world around us. Kris' Confusion Imposed on You. Light is a Fascinating Thing – Advent Thoughts. This is a”proem” (kinda prose, kinda poem) that I wrote recently for an Advent project that a friend of mine does each year. I thought I would share it with you guys as well. Light is a fascinating thing. It may be as dominating as the sun,. As demure as the moon,. As penetrating as a flashlight,. Or as subtle as a candle. Still, whatever its manifestation, it is in a word present. Its adversary we are told is darkness. Think...

Kris' Confusion Imposed on You. Re:create 2011 – Day 2 – Shakin’ the Trees. What a great day at the re:create conference 2011. I just got back to the hotel after hearing Ed Kowalczyk (formerly of the band “Live”). Unfortunately, I had to cut out after a few songs because, alas, I am old and pathetic. But what I heard was really incredible. The band backing him had some incredible musicians, and the place was rocking! 8211; In sharing your story, you offer to others the answers for the questions in theirs.

Kris' Confusion Imposed on You. Robin Hood and Ayn Rand. Checked out the new Robin Hood movie starring Russell Crowe and directed by Ridley Scott for a couple of reasons. One, because I love. Which involved both men in the exact same roles. But even more so, because I have always loved the Robin Hood stories and have tried to partake of them in every form imaginable – even the whole Kevin Costner. Robin Hood: Cardboard American Midwestern Prince of Thieves. From her book,. Re:create 2011 – Day 2 &#...

Kris' Confusion Imposed on You. Everyday Greatness For Everyone. I don’t know if its the mid-life crisis thing or not, but I’ve been dwelling a lot on what real impact my life is having in this world. Am I all that I should be or could be? Is “greatness” achievable for me? What is greatness, after all? In lieu of being able to afford a new sports car, I guess my crisis and the unanswered questions are all I’ve got. That is exactly what Stephen Covey is doing in his book, Everyday Greatness. And each chap...

A Bunch of B.S.

This year we stayed in St. George with Brad's parents for Christmas. It was the first time we were not at our own house Christmas morning. We had a fun time and got to share it with Brads parents, and Brother Scott and his family. We did our usual tradition of going to my Mom's house for Christmas dinner and then the grandkids act out the Nativity scene. Christmas morning all our kids with thier stockings. MaKayla got a Laptop this year. Izzy got an iPod. Andy and Emily both got LeapPads. We went out sho...
