Braddy Bunch

Thursday, April 30, 2015. What a busy and fun month April was for us. We started off on April Fool's Day with a homeschool field trip to the Symphony in Salt Lake. We met our friends there and the kids are always thrilled to be together. Will posed with the most awkward face to be transformed to a Roman Soldier. Easter Bunnies are just creepy, but we had to stop for a nostaligic photo with one at the Highland City Easter Egg Hunt. Will was eyeing the eggs that he was about to snatch. The kids and I enjoy...

Braddy Bunch: Feb 28, 2015

http://www.braddybunch.blogspot.com/2015_02_28_archive.html

Saturday, February 28, 2015. Fun Memories in February. We saw "Pinkalicious" at the Scera Theatre performed twice. Once with GMA and once with Will's preschool friends. After the second production, Will said surprisingly, "That was just like the first time." I don't think he understood that a play was scripted lines. The girls LOVED it! We were so glad that Grandma came to help too. She was super fast! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Fork in the Road and Cracks in the Walls. Strange Places for Chatting.

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Our homeschool co-op is GMA and it has been such a wonderful experience and opportunity for our family. Bethany has been able to be in several wonderful classes with some amazing teachers. I got to teach her Liberty Girls class this year. We had 20 very bright and respectful girls aged 6-11 in it. The last day we went to the park just down the street and played games and had popsicles. I taught Little Learners for the 2nd year in a row. This time I taught with Lori Willard, s...

Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Common Core Warriors Retreat. During September, parents from around the country who have been at the forefront of fighting common core gathered together to strategize the next steps in trying to return local control and parental rights in the educational decisions for our children. It was so wonderful to meet many of them for the first time and to hear of their experiences. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Fork in the Road and Cracks in the Walls. Strange Places for Chatting.

Sunday, February 8, 2015. Girls Weekend to Phoenix. I am so blessed to have had some of the most amazing friends in High School who have continued to be life long friends. We have been meeting up every year for a girl's weekend and it is such a great time to catch up, reminisce, learn from one another, laugh, shop and eat. I love these women and consider them each a blessing in my life. Cynthia was only able to join us for a short time because she flew straight to Phoenix from her cruise in Florida.

Donkey Hill: February 2013

http://donkeyhill.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Monday, February 18, 2013. A couple of weeks ago we loaded the kids and their friends into the back of the pickup and went exploring the area around Donkey Hill. We found a section of the creek bed with a wooden bridge covering it. Kids usually climb trees to go up. This time, they climbed the trees down. It scared the pee out of me, by the way. We were keeping Courtney's kids while she was out of town. And I was terrified that something would go South on my watch. Tom told me to chill. Played campfire g...

Saturday, February 6, 2010. Now we've got the kids hooked! Tyson and Kelsey just finished their second snowboarding lesson and they love it! I got a very annoyed look from the instructor. Then he turned to a different kid's mom to tell her how her kids did. Eventually it was my turn to be informed about the day's progress. (If you have ever seen Meet The Parents, the flight attendant is how I describe the first instructor! Anyway, I liked the second day much better! It is the cutest thing to watch! I tho...

Ostenson Life: Halloween 2013

http://ostensonlife.blogspot.com/2014/04/halloween-2013.html

Sunday, April 27, 2014. We had a party over at the Grandparent's house. We carved pumpkins and watched a scary movie (Signs). Tanner got home late from work and didn't have the energy to carve a pumpkin, so here he is eating. Seth did his best job ever on his Nightmare Before Christmas Jack O Lantern. Max was a Cereal Killer. Seth is a Ninja Turtle and still wears that shirt to school a lot. Tanner planned his costume for about a year. He loves Batman so decided to be Bane and shave his head for real!

Monday, December 29, 2008. Snow boarding is a ton of fun! I am however incredibly sore! We went on Monday for our first all day lesson, and then we went back again on Friday. Why the long wait until we went back for more you ask.it's because I couldn't move for quite some time! I finally learned to do the S down the hill. It's so fun! I feel like a kid playing all day at a sledding hill or something! Travis caught on so fast, he's actually really good! That is a pretty cool thing actually! Whitney opened...

Friday, October 31, 2008. Traveling has been the theme for this month - a welcome change from the office routine (although the office work piles up when we are away). Early in October I was invited to a training seminar at church headquarters in Santiago for the finance secretaries (financieros) from the missions in this area. Since there was no car available that day and since you can’t. Overnight at the church's hospedaje (hostel),. More Improvements to our Apartment. Don and Barb Mason Family. DEAR FA...

Donkey Hill: March 2014

http://donkeyhill.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Love, Loss, and Healing. December 22, 2012 our little Gracie Girl was taken back to heaven. She was our 13 year old Yorkie.a whopping 4 pounds of love and loyalty. Piper's buddy and the love of Bryce's life. She had no idea she was little. She was the Princess of this castle. I have tried to write about this several times.and I always get to this point and stop. We wanted to bring her home so we could bury her on Donkey Hill and the kids could gain some closure. Donkey Hill: April 2013

http://donkeyhill.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Monday, April 29, 2013. I'm a little late posting our New Years Eve pics. 118, to be exact. It was a cold, rainy night and we decided to nix our plans to go South for the freaky puppet parade and stay home and enjoy a "dinner of appetizers", watch the ball drop together, and shoot off some fireworks. The kids were so excited for their candlelit meal. Some of their favorites were served: Cocktail Meatballs, Mexican Spinach Dip w/chips, fruits/veggies, and bubbly. And there was likely saliva on the cake.

Brad, Danielle, Connor, and Blake. Braddy, Wifey, and Babies. Monday, October 15, 2012. First weeks at home. My family stayed with us through Saturday morning, July 7 and Brenda came up Sunday night, July 8. I really appreciated the help, mostly with Connor. I was so tired and taking care of Blake 24/7 and I was worried Connor would get jealous not having as much access to me, but he was totally fine and loved having everyone there to play with.
