Leon Murphy Louis Braille. Leon Murphy goes back a few years at Howe Press- [1960] to be exact. He trained under David Abraham. He's worked in every manufacturing job at the Press, so he could make the parts and assemble a complete Perkins Brailler himself. Welcome to my crazy life. Feb 21st, 2011 03:34 pm. Just thought I would come do an update since I haven't done one in a while. Am currently visiting some friends in the Chicago area. This past Wednesday I went to the IAER conference in Schaumburg and was there until Friday. It turned out to be a good experience and was fun. Am leaving to go home tomorrow.
