Garden Update: November 7, 2015. Image: november 7th tomatoes]. Look at all those wee tomatoes! Look at all those flowers! We’ve had a little bit of rain, and temperatures have generally started to fall, but my plants are continuing their weird “it’s still summer! 8221; behavior. It’s dipped down into the upper 30s a couple nights this week, but the only thing that seems affected is my Casper eggplants. The leaves get kind of limp, but they perk right back up once the sunlight hits them. November 7, 2015.

I found out that I was sort of wrong about the original dish from Mediterranean Grill House. I took a look at the menu on their website, and it’s listed there as “Mujaddarah – Kushari.”. A traditional recipe, just FYI. Also this particular method uses way too many dishes.). 15 cups long-grain white rice (I like jasmine). 1 cup brown lentils. 2 onions, sliced into half-moons. 1 tsp ground cumin.

But, popular books are usually sucky. And, instead of reading them, I rely on my friend the internet. Now, Twilight is not really written for people like me. And I take that into account. Possibly, my teen self would have even enjoyed the phenomenon. (probably not though, the style of the books is super wordy like a harlequin).

July 5, 2012. 8 oz cream cheese, softened. 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing. 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce. 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese. 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (or turkey) white meat. Heat oven to 350. Mix everything together. Bake for a half hour. Serve with celery sticks and tortilla chips. July 4, 2012. Adapted/simplified from the smitten kitchen.
