Life on the farm. I got spoiled on my birthday! I didn't have to make breakfast or clean up! I got to go shopping all morning WITH NO KIDS! So fun. Life on the farm. A new kind of normal. This year has been a crazy, emotional roller coaster. It's been hard for me to blog, trying to put into words all the things we're going through. Life on the farm. We blessed baby Jane on September 2nd. Marla got her this beautiful dress. Jane, just so you know, Grandma looked everywhere for the perfect blessing dress for you. She almost made you one, but found this one. It fit you perfectly! I had Noel, a new friend, make a bow to match. You looked like an angel! Church is so early here. I didn't think we would make it on time, but we did. There was another baby blessing and lots of ward business before Braydan got up. I was nervous for him!

Life on the farm. With the lovely, warm weather and Kaleb anxious to try out his new pack, it was high time the DuRees did a hike. We headed down the road to Swan Falls. I loved the warm sunshine on my back, holding little hands, singing songs. I loved Kaleb's discoveries: tiny shells, furry leaves, new rocks for his collection, a spider. One part was steep and I asked Eliza if she would catch me if I fell. She thought about it for a minute and said, "No. But I would miss you! They're in Washington.".
