http://trueblueaggies.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Today, I'm linking up with my friends who don't know me aka my stalkees for What's Up Wednesday! What we're eating this week:. Sweet and sour chicken. Pork Chops with Apples. Breakfast for dinner ( these are the best pancakes ever! We are also eating way too many of these chocolate chip cookies. I thought I had found the best chocolate chip cookie recipe in the world ( here. But I think my cousin's recipe that my mom made while I was visiting during Christmas takes the cake! His food therapist told me as...

Life as a Duck: Things I'm Loving

My brother, James, is engaged! We love Maddie and we are soooo excited for them! And we are excited that we get to go to Utah for the wedding and the holidays! The Mississippi Valley Fair - well, we kind of loved it, kind of didn't ;). Since state fairs are such a big deal in the Midwest, we decided we needed to try it out at least once. I think once is enough for me :) For some reason a lot of the pictures I took at the fair got deleted from my phone :(. Is in your area - Jack and David each get a book ...

Life as a Duck: May 2014

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair. (A Tale of Two Cities). I am grateful for Birmingham's beauty and it's equally divided four seasons. I am grateful for the. I love Birmingham and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Now on to the Iowa chapter.

25 meals at Aldi for $150. Saving money was the only thing that motivated me to try this because I hate cooking with a passion. I bought her $2 meal plan that included the detailed recipes, a printable menu planner, and a shopping list. It made everything so organized and easy! I'm all about having someone tell me every day what to pull out of my fridge and pantry (and to actually have it on hand! And Roasted Red Pepper Chicken. And Spencer's favorites were the Kielbasa Sausage and Red Pepper Pasta.

The thing I'm not loving. My 7 1/2 year computer gave up the ghost yesterday afternoon. I really can't complain, because 7 1/2 years of essentially no computer problems is pretty impressive for a computer. Also, I miraculously backed up the computer two days before it died. RIP 2007 macbook. Blog therapy will have to start up again once we get a new computer :). My father-in-law came to visit us! The tool set that grandpa gave Jack for his birthday. Jack AND David love it! This AMEN. #imsotired. We had a...

Life as a Duck: What we've been up to and a lot of pictures
http://trueblueaggies.blogspot.com/2015/08/what-weve-been-up-to-and-lot-of-pictures.html
What we've been up to and a lot of pictures. We've been playing hard these last few weeks of summer and I don't want it to end! Splash pad for the win this week! Thanks for the pictures, Carolyn! I don't know how I am ever going to work up the courage to cut David's hair! It is such a hot mess, though! Jack has been begging for a real pet and I'm trying to hold him over for the rest of his childhood because I really do not want a pet! This is what happens when I leave Jack alone with the syrup. I have be...

The Hall Family Road Trip of 2014 has officially come to an end. 5 weeks, 7 travel days, 15 states, 4 flights, 70 hours of driving, 11 different beds, infinite torturous toddler whining and baby screaming, Frozen soundtrack on forever repeat, endless packing and unpacking, minimal sleep, lots of anxiety, one panic attack, and SO MUCH FUN WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS! There was eating and napping and running and visiting and fishing and hiking and boating and zoo tripping and swimming. It was great.

Our groundhog that lives under our house. Actually I don't like him and I think he's pretty gross but Jack loves him! When I found our groundhog hanging out on our front porch, I knew it was finally spring in Iowa, or at least on most days :). Our landlord put the trap back out and Jack spends a lot of time waiting and watching for it to get trapped. We will see what happens this time around but for now, we are just enjoying playing outside - we couldn't do that in our top story apartment in Alabama!

Life as a Duck: November 2014
http://trueblueaggies.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Three years ago, in a nearly empty hospital in Logan, Utah, you quietly and miraculously entered this world and my life changed forever. It took just one moment to love your tiny six-pound body with dark brown hair, birdy legs, a button nose, and squinty almond eyes – I loved you so much that I thought my heart was going to burst! How miraculous that every soul that enters this world is loved immediately and unconditionally by a mother! I love you more than you’ll ever know and more than I ever tho...

Almost one year without one was way too long :). Jack's favorite zoo activity was the nasty reptile house and this worm :). Fathers and sons camp out. Jack was so excited to go and Spencer said that he dug in the dirt the entire time :). David stayed home with me and had a party with the girls! The nest of cute baby bunnies in our backyard. Between Jack and David and the lawn mower guy (who mowed two baby bunnies! I hope momma bunnies think twice before nesting so close to us! My name is Annie.
