K-RA-Z Ramblings: National Debt Clock
http://krazrambles.blogspot.com/2008/10/national-debt-clock.html
For the excess flow of thought. Monday, October 13, 2008. So you may have heard. The National Debt Clock in NYC's Time Square had to change its look last week. The debt has gotten so large that we have had to add a digit to the square that previously only held the dollar sign. It's hit $10.2 trillion. Not to worry. There is a plan to remedy the situation. This, of course, begs the question, what if we did this with our personal debt? Let's say I max out my credit card. No problem! View my complete profile.

K-RA-Z Ramblings: Bellists and Bellism
http://krazrambles.blogspot.com/2008/11/bellists-and-bellism.html
For the excess flow of thought. Friday, November 7, 2008. I work for an amazing online magazine at iamthatgirl.com. But here's the thing I notice. In a room full of female bellists (remember what that bellists work to redefine beauty), every one of them is beautiful. And I have to wonder why. And isn't that exactly the fight of bellists? I am that girl. I totally consider myself a bellist andi think that your blog rocks! It's just a matter of time until the concept of "bellism" spreads like wild fire!

K-RA-Z Ramblings: April 2008
http://krazrambles.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
For the excess flow of thought. Monday, April 28, 2008. I Left My Heart in Eastern Europe. Perhaps you've read about it in the news, the story of the father/grandfather who locked his 18-year-old daughter in the cellar for 24 years and fathered 7 children by her in a city outside Vienna. It is by all means revolting and disgusting on a level far exceeding "Chinatown." Eh, forget it, Jake. All allusions/lightheartedness aside, this story makes me miss Eastern Europe. Odd, I know. K-RA-Z Ramblings: June 2008
http://krazrambles.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
For the excess flow of thought. Monday, June 9, 2008. Having visited the bank today, I was pleased and disheartened to find that the sign had been changed. The same message remains but the quotes had been erased. And although this is closer to the meaning they are actually seeking, it really takes away the enjoyability of my banking transaction. Monday, June 2, 2008. What to Expect When You're Expecting. 1 Nothing is free. 2 Wear a headset. 3 Listen to the Monkees. 4 Pay someone else to do it. I have a B...

K-RA-Z Ramblings: Fatty, fatty, fatty, fatty....
http://krazrambles.blogspot.com/2008/10/as-ross-would-say-if-you-want-to-see.html
For the excess flow of thought. Monday, October 27, 2008. Fatty, fatty, fatty, fatty. As Ross would say, "If you want to see a man gain weight and a woman stop shaving her legs, get 'em married." But what do you say when the man getting married has to be carried down the aisle in his bed- which he hasn't left in 6 years- due to his obesity? I mean, unless they met prior to his bed rest, she would have had to chance upon Manuel while he was in bed. Would this be in his home? View my complete profile.

K-RA-Z Ramblings: July 2008
http://krazrambles.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
For the excess flow of thought. Wednesday, July 9, 2008. New DNA; Ramsey okay. Jeffrey MacDonald only wishes he had such luck. Excuse me, I mean innocence. She Has Her Reasons. I originally wrote this for the magazine but a demographic shift means it's no longer usable. Recently, my friend and I were discussing how uncomfortable we find the chairs we sit on for most of the day, every day, so we decided to get a little creative and think of things that might substitute for those chairs. There is no corner.

Last Exit Before Oblivion: May 2005
http://lastexitbefore.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Last Exit Before Oblivion. Tuesday, May 31, 2005. Breezze has an interesting post. Over on her Blog, about a conference she attended. I left her a comment on one aspect of what she wrote, and her response led to more questions. It's a long-running question in my mind: How do you change people? Specifically, how do people become followers of Jesus in more than words? Are they made, or are they grown? We're all babies when it comes to relating to God. We may look adult, but we're not. We think we k...I wan...

Last Exit Before Oblivion: August 2004
http://lastexitbefore.blogspot.com/2004_08_01_archive.html
Last Exit Before Oblivion. Thursday, August 26, 2004. I've been thinking lately about the story of Peter and John meeting the crippled beggar by the temple. He'd been crippled all his life. Peter and John have no money, but "What I have I will give to you. In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, get up and walk.". It takes children years to learn this. God entered this man's mind and gave him the ability to walk, in all of its balanced and unpredictable complexity. Walking, it turns out, is pretty much a learn...

Last Exit Before Oblivion: Toward Freedom XXXIV
http://lastexitbefore.blogspot.com/2014/11/toward-freedom-xxxiv.html
Last Exit Before Oblivion. Friday, November 14, 2014. God, who made the universe and all of its life, looks at people and sees. what? For him, all of time and space are spread out under his gaze and feel. One day I was working on a sand sculpture. It was a busy day on the beach, and the place I'd chosen to build was right in the middle of the traffic. The sun was racing to the western sky and I had a sculpture to finish. Are you going to leave that rough place inside there? A man passing by asked. Like l...

Last Exit Before Oblivion: Toward Freedom XXXII
http://lastexitbefore.blogspot.com/2014/11/toward-freedom-xxxii.html
Last Exit Before Oblivion. Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Nothing, Nowhere, Nobody. Big locks on a strong door might as well be painted in day-glo orange, with an accompanying sign that reads "Valuable Stuff Inside." Save time and hand out engraved invitations to every thief, vandal and raider in the neighborhood. Big fancy tombs in Egypt were plundered before the concrete had set. The excavated materials landed on top of other tombs, hiding them so they could be dug up thousands of years later. The better ...
