Brent's Euro Trip 2010: Norway
http://www.brentchaney.com/2010/10/norway.html
Brent's Euro Trip 2010. Friday, October 8, 2010. I sat down and watched the game laughing at the ridiculousness of a $14 beer. If anyone ever complains about beer prices in the US come to Norway and you will have good reason to complain. Alcohol is taxed like Robin Hood took a vacation to Brighton and the Sherriff of Nottingham is on speed. I finally got into my hostel room to find no one else was in my room that night. This was a bit of comfort after a rough day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Brent's Euro Trip 2010: August 2010
http://www.brentchaney.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Brent's Euro Trip 2010. Monday, August 30, 2010. We settled into our bungalow at Mykonos very quickly. Our hotel sort of had internet. Basically it would go in and out without notice. By the time we got settled in it was dinner time. We took a bus to the city center and had a great meal in the heart of the city on the harbor. We got to see another incredible Greek Island sunset. A friend of our family named Chris grew up on the island and built multiple houses overlooking the water. Check out the view.

Brent's Euro Trip 2010. Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Prague- Dresden-Eagles Nest-Munich Pre-Oktoberfest. The free walking tour in Prague was great. Keith was our tour guide for both the morning city walking tour and then the afternoon Castle walking tour. Keith was from the US, but visited Prague and fell in love. We walked the entire day and saw everything from the famous clock tower (Czech Back to the Future Sight),. The concert hall where Mozart debuted Don Giovanni (see the movie Amadeus):. I will ha...

Brent's Euro Trip 2010: Copenhagen and Sweden (Stockholm and Gothenburg)

Brent's Euro Trip 2010. Monday, October 4, 2010. Copenhagen and Sweden (Stockholm and Gothenburg). I woke up at 3:45 AM to make my 7 AM flight from Budapest to Copenhagen. I hated to spend the money on the flight, but I had no other choice. I flew the Hungarian Airlines in the One World Alliance. I believe it was called Malav or something. Of course, unlike airlines in the US they served a meal and gave out about 3 drinks a person on a 2 hour flight. The one with the balcony). The ship was somehow brough...

Brent's Euro Trip 2010: September 2010

Brent's Euro Trip 2010. Thursday, September 30, 2010. We got back to the hostel, dropped our stuff off, and headed for the fair grounds. The place is like the State Fair of Texas except focused on beer and not small plastic cups of beer, but full liters of beer. Each liter cost about 8-9 euros $11-12, but remember a liter is around 3.5 cans of beer. Intense. We walked around to many different tents and each one is very different with a different vibe and crowd. After the tour I went to the train station ...
