Brian Hates Cancer: One Year Later

http://www.brianhatescancer.blogspot.com/2010/03/one-year-later.html

Thursday, March 11, 2010. Ryan and I are participating in a project to benefit the Kentucky Cancer Program ( KCP website),. A unique program that is state-funded, university-affiliated, and community-based. KCP was created in 1982 and is jointly administered by the University of Louisville. James Graham Brown Cancer Center. And the University of Kentucky. Lucille Parker Markey Cancer Center. I will share more details of this very cool project soon. It is good to be alive and well. Brian Hates Cancer: December 2009

http://www.brianhatescancer.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 16, 2009. The cool thing about hating cancer is that it never fails to deliver new and unexpected reasons to hate cancer even more. I have developed some skin lesions on my hands over the past week, and Dr. Miller referred me to a dermatologist for biopsies. I suppose "referred" is an inadequate word in this case. Dr. Miller managed to convince one of the city's finest dermatologists to see me immediately. I love that guy! Here's a tip for people facing a future hand biopsy: when the ...

Brian Hates Cancer: November 2009

http://www.brianhatescancer.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 16, 2009. I may have been quiet, but I STILL HATE CANCER. And his body gradually grew stronger, the cancer surrendered and fled, life seemed to get better every day, and they all lived happily thereafter. Or something like that. As of this writing I have completed 10 treatments with only 2 more to go. I'm scheduled to start chemo #11 on November 17. So, if all goes as planned, I'll be done with this particular cancer chapter in about 3 weeks. The main thing to worry about is ...Or some o...

Brian Hates Cancer: Save What's Left

http://www.brianhatescancer.blogspot.com/2010/03/save-whats-left.html

Friday, March 12, 2010. This photo was taken on the one year anniversary of my cancer diagnosis. I'm wearing a shirt that reads "save what's left" - a message originally intended to promote recycling and conservation. The slogan has taken on new meaning after surgery and chemo. July 18, 2011 at 5:03 AM. It has been over a year and you have not written anything. I hope you are well. You take care of your self always. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I made Cancer "MY BITCH"!: The new Doctor

http://igotthecancer.blogspot.com/2007/02/new-doctor.html

Friday, December 1, 2006. In November, Jenny convinces me to go to her Doctor. From here on out, we will refer to my original Doctor as "Dr. Shitty". The new Doctor asks why Dr. Shitty never ordered a chest X-Ray. Off I go to get my chest X-Ray. Ct scan comes back and shows that Pulmonary Hypertension is out and swollen Lymph nodes are in. Doctor orders a Lymph Node Biopsy. Off I go to get my Biopsy. Posted by Ryan Armbrust. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). When I first started feeling bad. STILL maki...

I still have a few enlarged nodes in my chest, but they are unchanged from my last 4 PET/CT scans and have 0 uptake. That's why I'm like "Fuck-a-bunch-a-cancer"! Posted by Ryan Armbrust. Monday, January 24, 2011. Aint no party like a PET scan party. Cause a PET scan party don't stop! I'm sitting in the chair waiting to be scanned. My oncologist bumped my PET scan up by 6 months because my tonsils were showing uptake. If they are still showing uptake, I will have them cut out! Doesn't that sound like a shit load of fun? Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone. Posted by Ryan Armbrust. Good to have your scan brought forward to check whats going on. Hoping you get good results. That said, sin...

Thursday, June 25, 2009. My 18 month PET/CT Scan results! Today was my Oncologist visit to get the results from my 18 month pet/ct scan. Everything was great. There were a few small areas that were enlarged. These lymphnodes were the same size for my last 3 scans, no new growth. They are making me get scanned again in 6 months just to be sure. So far so good. Click below to read the full report. Posted by Ryan Armbrust. June 25, 2009 at 4:11 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Chemo #6, half way done!

http://igotthecancer.blogspot.com/2009/07/curb-your-enthusiasm.html

Sunday, July 26, 2009. Curb Your Enthusiasm has got to be one of my favorite shows of all time. Recently, I started to re watch them. Will the new season ever start? Anyway, in episode 34 of season 4 titled "The Weatherman", there is an ongoing joke about Hodgkin's Lymphoma. When this originally aired, I gave it no thought, because I did not know I had the Hodge. Anyway, give it a watch, hysterical! Posted by Ryan Armbrust. People told me about that clip when I was diagnosed but I never saw it! My new fu...
