Adventures in PhD-ness in Pennsylvania. July 25, 2013. Trying desperately to not freak out. Two weeks from today I will be moving out of my home and my home state. Two weeks from yesterday, I will be done teaching my summer school and will not teach again for at least 3 years. Okay, now that that’s done. There’s so much going on right now and so much change happening. This entry was posted on Thursday, July 25th, 2013 at 18:30 and tagged with end of summer. End of summer school. Adventures in PhD-ness in Pennsylvania. September 1, 2013. Yes, I know it snows. Yes, I know it’ll be cold. Yes, I know that I don’t know what that will be like. Get over it. I’m not an idiot; I did think about that before applying to a school on the complete opposite side of the country with a completely different climate. Either way, it wasn’t as difficult to leave as I thought it would be. Me and the arch…yes, that’s me doing an arch under the arch. So, we didn’t make it to PA, but we stayed outside o...

Must Reads | britlitscholar

https://britlitscholar.wordpress.com/must-reads

Adventures in PhD-ness in Pennsylvania. Here is my list of books that I must read. Many on the list are books that I should have read many, many years ago, but oh well. If you have any must reads, add yours to the comments. Lord of the Flies (started and got annoyed by the very boy-centric themes). A Tale of Two Cities. For Whom the Bell Tolls. The Mysteries of Udolpho by Anne Radcliffe. The Lord of the Rings. The Turn of the Screw. The Phantom of the Opera. The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The end is nigh.
