In case any of you happen to be in the area. Ann Arbor Civic Theater presents West Side Story. First, thanks to those of you who were very helpful when I posted a few months ago with questions about auditioning for pit/doubling/etc. This is production week, and we just had our first dress rehearsal with the full cast. I'm psyched! So - in case any of you are in the area (Southeast Michigan) . Come support local theatre (and see me juggle three saxes! Sept 15-18, 2005. Or at the door. Post a new comment.

Kiss me, kate. My Gilbert and Sullivan company is holding auditions for "Kiss Me, Kate," and they ask for two contrasting songs from the show or something similar. Rock musicals are not acceptable. I have some sheet music from KMK, but can anyone give me some advice on some good audition songs for this show? I'm 16, 5'2, and between a mezzo and an alto, but I can sing up to mid-second soprano (unfortunately, I don't know my range), but somehow I always end up singing the wrong song for my voice.

Suggestions for pit orchestra audition material (bari sax, West Side Story): rockin_the_show

Suggestions for pit orchestra audition material (bari sax, West Side Story). Hi, I'm new here, and I have a bunch of questions, I hope that's OK. :). JCS, Cabaret, and (I think) Chicago. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Also, I had a question about instrumentation: I found the following on the web (see below), but wasn't sure if by each 'Reed I', 'Reed II' etc. - do they meant a single person doubling on all of the listed instruments in each category? Reed II: Clarinet in E? 2 Horns in F.

suggested audition material for pit orchestra - The Pit Orchestra's Script

The Pit Orchestras Script. Where the pit actually has the lines. Jul 14th, 2005 @ 10:57 pm. Suggested audition material for pit orchestra. Hi, I'm new here, and I have a bunch of questions, I hope that's OK. :). JCS, Cabaret, and (I think) Chicago. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? That seems nigh unto impossible. ;) Or would they all be playing the same part? Seems strange that a piccolo would play the same part as a bass clarinet. From http:/ www.westsidestory.com/site/level. 2 Horns in F.
