The bike still folds as normal, all that’s needed is an extra step as there is now a quick release where the the stem bolt used to live. Brompton Ranger's Blog. Laquo; A Brompton, what? I spent some time investigating options for cycle computers before I went out and bought mine. There seems to be a lack of information on the web so I thought a write up of my experience should help other stat addicted Brompton owners. Computer in situe on the handlebars. Sensor on the fork and the magnet on the spoke. My needs were quite simple, I just wanted to know roughly how far I’d been and how fast I was going! I use a Knog NERD on my Brompton.

I went to the pre-race ride on the Saturday, very good ride, slow pace, good weather (until we arrived at the factory! Good bit of grub and some Hen! Race day was wet and muddy, but I was prepared. Nothing a quick change of clothes didn’t fix, plus I didn’t want to be travelling on the train in my race get up! Aggression, concentration and a slight lack of fitness. Darr; Read comments.

This and other minor incidents happen in the course of a reasonably short 3 mile trip which takes approx 15-20 mins on a normal day. I've had the yellow labelled brompton tyres on since I purchased my bike what must be a year and a half ago and I've been nothing but impressed with them. But I had a puncture last Thursday (only my second puncture in over 1500 miles) which really brought home how much I need my bike to be on the road and how much I rely on it! 9 October 2011 at 08:47.

I and 64,999 other people decided to go for a bit of a cycle around London on Saturday! Going by numbers alone, the Skyride seemed to be a success. So I thoroughly recommend the Brompton touring pannier, if you carry a lot regularly it will be invaluable, but if you carry less and don't have thighs like Chris Hoy then you may want to consider the C-Bag!
