This year saw the first Junior entries, with the Bromyard Army cadets (who had to run twice as one the the team’s members, Cadet Becky Morris ran in the first attempt but suffered an injury) winning the Juniors Championship. World Championship Hop Pocket Race. The event involves teams of 4 carrying a full size hop pocket against the clock around a road course of 553 yds and an obstacle in Bromyard Town centre. The Hop Pockets are filled to a weight of 70 kilos for the senior race and 50 kilos for the ladies and junior races. To teams of 4 women of any age.
