Welcome to My Site. For as long as I can remember, thoughts about distant lands have occupied a sizable portion of my mental landscape. I blame this on my parents, who whisked me off to Egypt at the tender age of six months. After five years in the Middle East and visits to other exotic parts of the globe, they had me hooked on travel. And the more I explore, the more I realize how little I know about the world. All the more reason to keep at it! In a way that is respectful and sustainable, I hope.
