Riding through the Americas

Riding through the Americas. Thursday, 4 September 2008. The road is no more. No more will I buckle on my boots. No more will I strap up my helmet. No more will I swing that leg over the saddle. No more will I be staring towards the horizon. With the wind and the rain as companion. With the sun to drive me on. With the mountains to distract me. No more will I be singing those songs. Over and over again. Or the conversations that go around. In circles in my head. With no where to go. Or that short cut.

Riding through the Americas. Tuesday, 29 January 2008. I have just received an email telling me that the boat has arrived here in Buenos Aires. Now just to get the bike. Links to this post. Monday, 28 January 2008. It is raining here in Buenos Aires. The first real rain I've seen here. I've finished my Spanish Classes for the day and have a bit of time to write. This 'fellowship' culminated with a weekend in Gualeguachu. 'Crazy' is the first word that comes to mind. Carnaval de Gualeguaychu was m...Gueal...

Riding through the Americas. Friday, 27 June 2008. Wow, I´ve made it onto Youtube! Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Sunday, 22 June 2008. Colombia has lived up to my expectations as a beautiful place filled with very friendly and helpful people. Which made me not make it to Bogotá in one day. So I stayed in a ...

Riding through the Americas. Friday, 28 March 2008. I like the gum tree in the corner of this photo.). Talking of valleys I got up to my usual, yesterday, of taking some random roads without a map. The country road was perfect, as was the weather. I found out afterwards that I was very close to the Argentinean border. I think they did but I didn´t find out. Going down a steep section (why don´t photos show how steep it really was? Showing off her undies. Links to this post. Wednesday, 26 March 2008.

Riding through the Americas. Friday, 30 May 2008. Machu Picchu, not yet. Was going to write here a few days ago but I have been in bed, more or less, but now feel pretty fine. However right now I am off to Nasca, down from the Andes towards the coast so I will to update this page later. Thankyou to all the people who have shown a continued interest in my journeys (and to all those lurkers). It is great being able to share even in this little way. Links to this post. Larrys Graffiti Area: April 2012

http://eatmorespinach.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Vignettes from the Tassie Huizingas: Larry, Bj, Quin, Seb, El, Spud, Mistruf. Saturday, 28 April 2012. Our little boys are growing up! We had two very excited little munchkins, desperate to go to bed this afternoon! The reason is in the pic below! Not sure how long the eagerness to go to bed will last, I guess only as long as the novelty of bunk beds lasts! Next step will be to change Miss E over into the cot (from the cradle). That wont be happening for a month or so yet (until Sebastian no longer t...

Vignettes from the Tassie Huizingas: Larry, Bj, Quin, Seb, El, Spud, Mistruf. Monday, 5 November 2012. Fun in the sun! Summer is just around the corner (this is what we hear from Larry from the start of each winter)! Today we enjoyed such beautiful weather that I thought taking the dog for a walk on the beach would be good. It turned into more than just a walk with the dog on the beach when the boys got hold of the idea! So today we obliged! E got her first proper taste of. Drop the ball and SHAKE! Video...

After receiving a phone call from my sister on Friday (the 23rd of March) just before 8am, I had flights booked to Perth for the following morning by 9.30am. Plans for a quiet weekend (having the kids on my own while Larry went to WA) went out the window and a surprise was in the making! A phone call to one sister-in-law and the surprise was set!

Vignettes from the Tassie Huizingas: Larry, Bj, Quin, Seb, El, Spud, Mistruf. Thursday, 31 January 2013. Yes, the title says it all! This blog has been very neglected of late! I'm not sure how many people keep up with it or read it anymore, facebook seems to have taken over as preferred source of social media for so many! Anyway, ramblings aside, the last months have been busy to say the least! Moving house is something we hope not to do for a very looooooong time! There are many others who helped and su...

This cheeky little boy has filled our lives with much love and laughter (amidst the frustrating times) and is always quick with a smile and eager for a cuddle! We have watched him grow and change so much in the last few months, he has well and truly left toddlerhood behind! Onward and upward to bigger, exciting little boy things!

Vignettes from the Tassie Huizingas: Larry, Bj, Quin, Seb, El, Spud, Mistruf. Tuesday, 26 June 2012. This is what happens when you ask the boys to give Eleanor some toys! They very generously give her all her toys and put them on her face (must be so she can see/find them). It's really difficult to get a decent photo of this child! He never sits/stands still long enough! The bestest big brother! Watching 'Iggle Piggle' together! Saturday, 2 June 2012. Here are a few of the photo's we took this afternoon.

Our Ella Bella having fun in her playgym and discovering toys are great for eating! The toy has a ring on the end which she loves to chew! How can you not but smile with her! She just charms the pants off anyone she sees! We are so very blessed to have such a happy, easy going baby! Having a sit on the kid size John Deere tractors! They would have loved to take them home but at.

Bruce Thacker Reflections - Reflections on My Spiritual Journey | Thoughts on Our Christian Walk

January 3, 2017. January 3, 2017. As I think about this night one word comes to mind. The word is ‘baby’. I looked back at some of the reflections I have done in past years. I noticed that I was moved by some songs and shared them with you. One year, and maybe for than one, it was ‘Mary, Did You Know? I only know the Faith Hill version. And she played right after the other song. I could again list all the songs I love, but I did that last year. For one, they bring a sense of anticipation and hope. We are...
