The beginning of rainy season always brings lots of dust as the big rain storms swoop in and stir up all the sand lying around from the last few months; we weren't prepared for this particular storm so we didn't get the windows closed up fast enough - 15 minutes is all it takes to get a layer of dust over everything! Walsh Family in Burkina Faso Since 2007. We discovered Burkina Faso during student mission trips through the Collaboratory at Messiah College starting in 1998. We moved to our village of Mahadaga with our son Thomas in 2007. We started out working with the Centre for the Advancement of the Disabled and spent our first five years helping to strengthen the activities of the Centre and to build up a leadership team of local Christians to run the Centre long-term.
