The Sarasota Muralist: May 2007
http://thesarasotamuralist.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
The online journal of muralist Skip Dyrda. Wednesday, May 09, 2007. YeahI know. I've been a bad boy regarding updating this blog. I think I promised updates about both Homer and Dipsy. And since the clowns have already had their 'farewell event', at least, the 'public version', I'm going to try to finish this clown stuff off in one blog entry. And then I'll finally return to what I'm supposed to be writing about, which is my mural projects, of which there are several. More about them later. Factory, purc...

The online journal of muralist Skip Dyrda. Saturday, October 21, 2006. Meet Dipsy Doo Dunkeroo. After several weeks of working in a cloud of fiberglass dust and epoxy fumes, Dipsy Doo Dunkeroo has finally been completed. He was actually 'taken away' about three weeks ago, by a couple guys in white coats, and hasn't been seen since. Last I heard he was being 'sprayed'.for what, I'm not sure. To see how Dipsy was 'Taken Away'. Posted by Painterskip at 9:15 AM. Links to this post. All I can say is.wow.

And appreciated. Thanks to Joan Altabe. For the interview and to the Times for publishing my work. Posted by Painterskip at 6:18 PM. Links to this post.

The online journal of muralist Skip Dyrda. Tuesday, June 27, 2006. I love to travel. But I digress. The reason I mention all this is because of one of those goofy forwarded emails we all receive almost everyday. This one came from my brother-in-law.or is it ex brother-in-law.nah.forget the ex. And since I seem to really love listening to others tell about their trips to locations all over the world, I really liked this video.or rather, the reason behind it. The Sarasota Muralist: December 2006
http://thesarasotamuralist.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
The online journal of muralist Skip Dyrda. Sunday, December 31, 2006. Latest project completed and installed. This latest project was installed in a condo at the Labella Sara condo on Golden Gate Point in downtown Sarasota. It's approximately 7' x 7' and was painted on canvas and installed onsite. I added several details after installation. It's basically a decorative iron gate beyond which is a stone balustrade, all overlooking a view of Sarasota Bay. And the everpresent red string is there as well.

The online journal of muralist Skip Dyrda. Friday, June 29, 2007. One for the East Coast. Welcome to Stuart, FL. Just South of St. Lucie and about 45 minutes North of the Palm Beach area. For me.almost exactly straight across the state from Sarasota. Photo three shows the top niche completed. It depicts Chief Osceola standing with his trusty rifle on a Trompe. Balcony. That diagonal black line is a phone or cable wire.there are wires everywhere back there. Posted by Painterskip at 7:18 PM. After a bit of...
