Wednesday, July 26, 2006. Yesterday the backfilling was interrupted by rain, but we went to take pictures anyway. Most of the backfilling is complete and there seems to be a bit of extra dirt. They will need to take the extra dirt away. The next task it to put the grade beam in. That is what the garage sits on. They are a bit backed up on that, so we are not sure when that is going to happen. There probably won't be any updates now until the grade beam is done. Doesn't the house look nice?

Tuesday, December 19, 2006. Shingles and Framing Inspection. The other part that should be happening in these days is that the plumbers are back in the house putting in the in-floor heat into the basement. Thursday, November 02, 2006. It has been a while since our last post. It is much more difficult to get over to take pictures. It is dark by the time we get home from work, and we seem to be gone or very busy on the weekend. I left early from work today so I could go see what has happened at the house and take some pictures while it was still light outside. Wednesday, September 27, 2006. Rugby Players have Brawn, and Brains Too. You can see more of the house today. The piles of lumber are getting smaller. The scrap pile is small, but slowly becoming the biggest pile. My favorite part of construction is dealing with all the characters that build houses for our company. Wednesday, May 24, 2006. Well things are starting to happen now. We have a date for when the stakes will mark where the hole is supposed to be dug. That means that in a few more days, there will be hole there. This date is scheduled for June 5 and that is less than two weeks away. Now this is getting exciting. Thursday, October 12, 2006. Ross and Russ are completing a few last details with windows, doors and stairways. There are a few missing, so they will have to come back when those arrive. It's been a hard job, they have done well. It is time to get paid and move on. In the meantime, the plumbers have started. The pipes in the picture are in the basement. Thursday, April 27, 2006. Just a quick note today. We know things are happening now. The city didn't like the size of our deck, so we have to make it a little smaller. Saturday, January 27, 2007. Pink on the Inside - Gone. Progress on the house over the last few weeks has been fun to watch. The other work that was done this week, was the in-floor heat for the main floor. We were in a show home last weekend with in-floor heat and I was happy the we made the decision to put it into our house.
