Exceeding Abundantly: December 2011
http://exceedingabundantly320.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
About me and my boys. Tuesday, December 20, 2011. I’m dreaming of…. The other day the boys asked me what a “white” Christmas was. So I explained it meant SNOW. That everything was covered with beautiful, powdery melt-in-your-mouth, freezing cold, snow. My explanation they seemed confused. I guess it’s not a wonder that they didn’t understand. What is up with this place called the South? And why don’t we have SNOW? No snow. It’s not Christmas.”. Links to this post. Monday, December 19, 2011. It was a litt...

Exceeding Abundantly: Packed Up
http://exceedingabundantly320.blogspot.com/2013/04/packed-up.html
About me and my boys. Friday, April 5, 2013. This past week we closed on our new house and began life as home owners again. We've been renting for the past 3 1/2 years, and between living in Missouri, North Carolina and now way out West, there was no reason to buy until we knew we'd be settled. And so. here we are. Settled. Well, aside from the mountains of boxes in every room. Haha. But truly, we are well on our way to being settled. We're putting down roots. We're calling a house our own.

Exceeding Abundantly: July 2012

About me and my boys. Monday, July 23, 2012. Vacation without the Kids. I know its late to write about, but back in June I had the incredible opportunity and privilege to go on vacation by myself. And it was so much fun, and so relaxing, and so refreshing, I have to blog about it so I can look back and remember what a true luxury it was. And so that settled it. No way was I going to argue. I’d just been handed a 5 day vacation to Orlando, FL with a good friend (we actually invited many more...My hubby ar...

Exceeding Abundantly: June 2012
http://exceedingabundantly320.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
About me and my boys. Thursday, June 14, 2012. I’ve always loved the rain. I know that growing up in the Pacific Northwest plays a big part in that. It was always raining there and most locals learn to love it. And love it, I did. I spent nearly 20 years of my life in the beautiful state of Washington and came to love the drizzles, the steady drip-drop that soothed me to sleep, and most of all the torrential downpours. And then off they went. Or… off. Seeing their delight in the rain took me back. I was ...

Exceeding Abundantly: Sweet sweet sweetness
http://exceedingabundantly320.blogspot.com/2013/01/sweet-sweet-sweetness.html
About me and my boys. Thursday, January 24, 2013. I know you’ve been waiting for these sweet sweet pictures of this sweet sweet guy. Especially you, Mom. While I can’t say that life’s been terribly busy, it has been busy. Perhaps more of a getting-into-a-routine type busy, than a my-schedule-is-so-packed type busy. So…instead of running too and fro with things outside the home, we’ve been able to adjust to our new home and to have an inward focus. And then we moved the following week, then took a week to...

Exceeding Abundantly: May 2012

About me and my boys. Wednesday, May 23, 2012. New Do and Week 22. The news of the next boy on the way, and the reminder that it is going to be another hot Southern summer, prompted me to get my long hair chopped off and restyled to make me feel super feminine and super cool (as in, not hot). This shorter style will be so much easier to manage and gives me a fresh new look too, don’t you think? As I said, I like it a lot. Oh boy, a new do and week 22… it’s a great place to be. Exceeding Abundantly: November 2012

About me and my boys. Thursday, November 22, 2012. Nothing beats a Sunday afternoon nap. except maybe worshipping the Lord at church. I'm so thankful for both- one day in seven set aside for worship and rest! Links to this post. Tuesday, November 13, 2012. I always wondered what I’d do if I had a skinny baby. Probably freak out just a little. It never takes long before the infamous family double chin appears. Doesn’t he wear it well? Oooh, I just love my little double chinned boy. Links to this post.

Off the Bookshelf: Review: Tide and Tempest by Elizabeth Ludwig
http://shereadsinmn.blogspot.com/2014/04/review-tide-and-tempest-by-elizabeth.html
Formal reviews and random thoughts of the books I am reading. Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Review: Tide and Tempest by Elizabeth Ludwig. This is the third book in the Edge of Freedom series, and I think it is my favorite. One can't help but love the sweet and humble Tillie McGrath, and seeing her thrust into danger from a foe she does not know makes this book a read-in-a-weekend story. And the tough yet surprising sensitive Morgan makes the perfect hero. By Bethany House Publishers. Bethany House Non Fiction.

Formal reviews and random thoughts of the books I am reading. Saturday, September 22, 2012. Review: Whispers in the Wind by Lauraine Snelling. August 1, 2012. Book Two in Lauraine Snelling's Exciting Wild West Wind Series. I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel to Valley of Dreams. The continuity of plot from the first book was excellent and I enjoyed seeing "what happened next.". It was a bit slow, but I would still highly recommend this book. Whispers in the Wind. Labels: Bethany House Fiction. The book appe...
