Monday, March 29, 2010. There I am mingling with my fellow mad men at Sterling Cooper! AMC has this fun little Mad Men Yourself. Interactive character builder on their website. Its a good boredom killer. PS I'll have a completed dress to show you by the end of the week! Saturday, March 20, 2010. I'm getting antsy and excited to start all sorts of springy things! The pattern that I'm going to use is Vogue 7889, view D (in the top right corner of this picture). Thursday, March 18, 2010. And I was a little ...

Is That Sew?: Happy Autumn!
http://isthatsew-kelsey.blogspot.com/2010/09/happy-autumn.html
Tuesday, September 28, 2010. I have a chili pepper red peacoat with buttons down the back that this will complement nicely :). Switching gears completely, I have something new and adorable to show you:. I've been meaning to make a purse out of this fabric for months, and bought this pattern, Vogue 7889. The outer shell is a Michael Miller fabric the inside shell is Heather Bailey. Here's what the inside looks like, it could almost be reversible:. September 28, 2010 at 7:33 AM. Is That Sew?: January 2010
http://isthatsew-kelsey.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 29, 2010. The Red Woolingbone Dress! My very first dress. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. I tend to be hard on myself when things don't turn out perfectly, but then I remind myself that if it was perfect, it wouldn't be hand-made. I need to cut myself some slack. this was my first dress for Pete's sake! Take it down a notch! I have gotten myself to where I'm at, and I MADE THIS BEAUTIFUL DRESS! It's called the Red Woolingbone Dress! The pattern I followed was Butterick 5316.

Is That Sew?: June 2010
http://isthatsew-kelsey.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 6, 2010. It's been so long! But I'm back with something new and exciting. I embroidered a tiki dude onto a shirt for my Mr to wear to a wedding this past weekend. He loved it! And I thought he looked quite dapper in it, as well. This is my second embroidery project i've completed, and I am thrilled with how it turned out. And here's a close-up of Mr. Tiki, fresh out of the hoop! I used the Tiki Freak pattern from Sublime Stitching. With their transfer paper. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Is That Sew?: A wonderful new year is upon us!!
http://isthatsew-kelsey.blogspot.com/2011/01/wonderful-new-year-is-upon-us.html
Monday, January 3, 2011. A wonderful new year is upon us! With the new year comes exciting things. I will be getting my BS in Allied Health Sciences with an emphasis in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, finally getting an apartment with my fiance, and getting married! That's right, we're engaged! We're planning a late August tiki-inspired wedding. Kris proposed with a gorgeous mystic topaz and diamond ring that he designed himself. I couldn't imagine a more perfect ring, or fiance. The quilt looks...

Is That Sew?: My eyes say it all... Happy Halloween!
http://isthatsew-kelsey.blogspot.com/2010/11/my-eyes-say-it-all-happy-halloween.html
Thursday, November 4, 2010. My eyes say it all. Happy Halloween! I hope everyone had as great a Halloween as I did! Luckily, I was able to get work off for the weekend to travel home for the festivities. And in case I forgot to mention, I now work in a fabric store! And his costume turned out wonderfully as well! We bought the patch from Etsy which I just sewed onto his shirt, and he designed the collar himself. He's a crafty man, whether he wants to admit it or not :). Terry M Scott (AKA Terry Mann).

98 Red Balloons: March 2010
http://98redballoons.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
My camera is out of service, as is my old cell phone. The new one doesn't have much of a camera, so I won't even bother trying to post pictures from it. Project photos are coming. Still no button for my Vintage-y tree skirt, but I have been wearing it with a safety pin anyway. The zipper on my NL 6873 view B got off track and I can't for the life of me fix it, so I'm going to need to install a new one. I think I might take the hem up a few inches in the process. 2 Sew Simplicity 2863. Links to this post.

98 Red Balloons: New Look 6873 - from UFO to FO in one evening!
http://98redballoons.blogspot.com/2010/10/new-look-6873-from-ufo-to-fo-in-one.html
New Look 6873 - from UFO to FO in one evening! I started this skirt almost a solid year ago. I didn't make a very good choice matching this fabric to a pattern. I used New Look 6873, which I've made it before here. Out of a lightweight swiss-dot cotton. This fabric is a Vera Lavender brocade from fabric.com last year, and it's gorgeous. Carolyn. And pressed the life of of it. The skirt looks tenfold better. I still need to blind hem it by hand, but blah blah, it's done. The less-than-perfect waistband fa...
