I have seen the majority of Luang Nam Tha's attractions already. I contemplated visiting the sacred forests near the Black Tai villages, which are basically the village cemeteries. The Black Tai. Instead I wandered to the Black Tai village of Tong Ja Tai. I had a late lunch at Heuan Lao Restaurant. Luang Nam Tha - Huay Xai (60,000KIP).

This morning we paid our 130THB and exchanged our passports for the keys to a couple of 125CC Honda Wave. Unfortunately for her, Siobian did crash into the same truck I narrowly missed, fell off the bike and caused a scratch to the paintwork at the front, which she later discovered would cost her a massive 570THB! Kiara's South East Asian adventures. Wednesday, May 31, 2006. A walking tour around Hanoi's old quarter. I booked the only flight I could find for under $50 to Bangkok. Which leaves on the 2nd of June. In the meantime I have a few more days in Hanoi. The first of which I decided to fill by taking my feet on a walking tour of the city's old quarter (courtesy of Lonely Planet). I started by crossing the red painted bridge to an island in the northern part of Hoan Kiem. Which is home to Ngoc Son Temple.
