Kathy Elliott Art: Departure
http://kathyelliottart.blogspot.com/2015/05/departure-12-x-12-acrylic-on-wrapped.html
Friday, May 15, 2015. Acrylic on wrapped Canvas. Sometimes, I think the images are people, or they remind me of bottles lined up on a shelf. Possibly, they could be people that look like bottles or bottles that look like people. Or maybe they are just fun shapes. This is today's departure! Drawing seems to be the key. But even more important is looking and seeing . It reminds me of looking at clouds and playing the game of "what do you see! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

LamujoArt: Eager to Please
http://lamujoart.blogspot.com/2015/08/eager-to-please.html
Art by Laurie Mueller. Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Lately I have been lucky enough to learn some new "stuff", which is great. However, I also feel a little overwhelmed with all the rules! So whenever I feel that way, I try to forget what it is "supposed" to look like, and just paint. Flowers. How fun! It's also a good way to forget about what the heck is happening in this world right now. Thank God for art. Ok, I'll go back to remembering and practicing what I've learned. Kathy Elliott Art: July 2015
http://kathyelliottart.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 24, 2015. Although I have played with over 50 paintings of random bottles and adding some other containers, I am still exploring. I am going to revisit them all and try to accomplish a finish to each. Sometimes letting the painting in process hang out a while on the wall gives me a fresh way of looking at what can be done to make them complete, or complete for now! Thank you for looking and your comments or suggestions are welcomed! 15" x 22" Mixed Media on Paper. Have a good day! What I hav...

Kathy Elliott Art: October 2014
http://kathyelliottart.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 26, 2014. The past three days I was fortunate to study with the highly energetic and exciting Lisa Pressman at The Encaustic Center. Lisa's teachings were more than the technical use of cold wax and oil paint, but included everything from how to create the layers and textures and depth, to the really important stuff of creating paintings with meaningful messages that tell a story. Wow, that is a lot to think about! Her enthusiasm for making a painting your own is something to strive for.
