Fire Byrd: The Guilty Culprit!
http://byrdonfire.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-guilty-culprit.html
Rising from the ashes, working it out. Sunday, 16 September 2012. I have now lived on my own for one whole week. In that time I've learnt how to decorate, thanks Ellie! Have moved furniture upstairs and downstairs. My house looks marvellous. Spacious, tidy, with a fabulous guest bedroom and an upstairs study. It's been a really busy week,( when aren't mine busy? And on Thursday I got elected Chair of Governors for three schools, Which I guess means that busy just went stratospheric. That's the good stuff.

Fire Byrd: First frost
http://byrdonfire.blogspot.com/2012/11/first-frost.html
Rising from the ashes, working it out. Sunday, 18 November 2012. I love the change of seasons, though I suppose frosty mornings are something you have to brace yourself for. Time to get out the gloves again I guess. Over in this part of the world, Im looking for a shady hat. 19 November 2012 at 00:05. A frost can look very pretty, but I do not like this time of year when nearly everything in the garden is dying back. However, I am still waiting for a heavy frost to blacken my dahlias. 24 May 2014 at 23:22.

Today I shall ...: ..tell you about moi
http://procrastinatorextraodinaire.blogspot.com/p/tell-you-about-moi.html
Today I shall . Tell you about moi. Tell you about moi. I am a forty something teacher and mother of four boys. Started life in Wales, studied in England and then moved back and forth between Wales and England for twenty odd years whilst fitting in as many holidays to France that finances allowed. During this time I renovated 4 properties and sadly moved on pretty much as soon as each was completed. When I do get blogging again you may even get to see a bit more ;). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Written Word: July 2008
http://having-written.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Random Writings, Ramblings and Pictures. Wednesday, 23 July 2008. Following on from my last post on 'Old Photographs' - these two turned up. True before and after pictures! Look what they've done to it! Ho Hum. Times change. I came across this picture of our Grandparents, whilst sorting out a hard drive scattered with hundreds of images. I had scanned this from an old and ageing print a few years back. When I came across it again, it evoked such warm and comfortable memories of our childhoods. Funny how ...

Daily Decadent: What Grandma Made
http://www.dailydecadent.com/2010/11/what-grandma-made.html
Account of Decadent Housewife who grew up a farm girl, hums opera, married a geek and lives in a houseful of men, none of whom ever have clean socks or underwear. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. When I married, the possibility of becoming a grandmother never occurred to me. Never. Entered. My. Mind. But sometime early in the new year that reality will be here. And with it has been unleashed a torrent of, well, grandmother type behaviour, like knitting and sewing baby stuff. I even have some of her UFO's - U.

Daily Decadent: Making Choices
http://www.dailydecadent.com/2013/04/making-choices.html
Account of Decadent Housewife who grew up a farm girl, hums opera, married a geek and lives in a houseful of men, none of whom ever have clean socks or underwear. Sunday, April 28, 2013. Thursday, I drove two hours north to pick up Buff from school. He seemed a little surprised upon opening his bedroom door and seeing mother's smiling face. Why are you here so soon? No I mean, yes. I mean, how did you get in here? I didn't hear you come in.". I knocked, poked my head in, shouted, "Is Buff here? Ha ha ha ...

Daily Decadent: A Basic Omelet for Fun
http://www.dailydecadent.com/2013/05/a-basic-omelet-for-fun.html
Account of Decadent Housewife who grew up a farm girl, hums opera, married a geek and lives in a houseful of men, none of whom ever have clean socks or underwear. Wednesday, May 8, 2013. A Basic Omelet for Fun. Making an omelet is not hard. I taught myself how before google, at age fourteen and with an uncooperative mother. I had just returned from England surviving 1970's English food by patronizing a little restaurant, "The Golden Egg", on Oxford Street in London. Salt - pinch to taste - I use sea-salt.
