Tuesday, May 27, 2008. I forgot to shower out my loose post-haircut hairs. After noticing some on my desk, I decided to vigorously scrub my scalp over my sink to see how much hair would drop out. Thus:. Thank you for reading my adventures. Other highlights for the day:. I got a pretty good haircut. Monday, May 26, 2008. Oh crud. Dang. Is anyone gonna notice this? Does it stain everything it touches! What a great thing to ruin my teeth and stomach with. But anyway, it really does sadden me to lose another...

Tuesday, June 24, 2008. Mom called me yesterday about receiving a collections letter to me for some Phoenix Municipal Court ticket. Today I called about it, because I didn't remember any outstanding tickets. Apparently, it was for a parking ticket I received back in 2000! The City of Phoenix sure is efficient! Monday, June 23, 2008. The Mother of All Games, in 3D. It was hard to drag myself into the gym again today, but I did it, and this time when I came home I didn't have to dry heave. Progress! Tomorr...

Sunday, October 5, 2008. But what should I do for my vacation? So about 5-6 hours of driving later, I holed up in the Stratosphere. Check out the lovely view of the parking garage and highway! If you look closely, you can see the crack marks on the window from what I assume was an unsuccessful attempt at murder. Here, I started off with a local search for a barber. It turned out it was much hotter outside than it looked. Here, I grabbed a refreshing beverage. I was supposed to turn in here, but there's a...

Sailing Judo: November 2008
http://sailingjudo.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
The journey from a humdrum, every day lifestyle to a sailor. Thursday, November 13, 2008. Fort Myers to Punta Gorda. Did I say charts? Oops After the 5:00 AM rise and an hour long drive down to Fort Myers I discovered that I had forgot my charts. I had placed them the previous night at the foot of my bed so I wouldn't forget them. Guess that wasn't such a good place after all. I decided to forego the charts and leave the boat yard ASAP. Thursday, November 6, 2008. As with nearly all previously used vehic...

Sailing Judo: February 2009
http://sailingjudo.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
The journey from a humdrum, every day lifestyle to a sailor. Saturday, February 28, 2009. Events: The Good and the Bad. I couple of noteworthy items occurred this last week. The first is that I finally got enough money together to secure a slip in Sarasota. My boats new home will be in Marina Jack's. A very nice marina practically in downtown Sarasota. Of course, I still plan on spending time at Jimi's. I'll probably drive down there at least once during the week and then on some weekends. When I secured...

Sailing Judo: March 2009
http://sailingjudo.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
The journey from a humdrum, every day lifestyle to a sailor. Saturday, March 7, 2009. Punta Gorda to Sarasota. A good weather window, crew, and a day off from work. Everything was pointing towards a good opportunity to get my boat from Punta Gorda to its new berth in Sarasota. Of all the trips I've made this one had the most planning go into it. I printed out weather forecasts (including some excellent information like wave height and frequency, wind directions and strength predictions, and all in 3-...

Saturday, July 19, 2008. Movies over 2 hours long. See The Dark Knight. I was heavily anticipating this movie for a long time, and it completely exceeded my expectations. Heath Ledger as the Joker was the best part of the show. I love the movie's take on Batman's main bad guy. The character was creepy and frightening, yet entertaining to watch. Of course, the other main characters of Batman, Harvey Dent, and Gordon were also well done, but Ledger stole the show. Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Because in quantum...

Sailing Judo: Finally got the wind-vane through customs
http://sailingjudo.blogspot.com/2009/11/finally-got-wind-vane-through-customs.html
The journey from a humdrum, every day lifestyle to a sailor. Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Finally got the wind-vane through customs. Everything came together and I was able to get the new wind vane cleared through customs. What a colossal hassle. Unfortunately my customs broker didn't tell me they don't accept credit cards. I had to run out to another gas station and use an ATM to get cash for them. So, how much did this whole thing cost you? November 11, 2009 at 8:52 PM. September 5, 2011 at 3:16 AM.
